Eight lords rule the world. Use your knowledge of the forge to free the world from its rulers.
Ashforge is a combat-driven RPG modpack for Minecraft 1.20.1 (Forge) built around one core concept: master the forge, craft your arsenal, and hunt down the tyrants that rule the world. Progression is earned at the Tinker's Anvil — every tool, weapon, and piece of armour you carry is something you built, upgraded, and made your own through Tinkers' Construct.
⚔️ The Gameplay
The world of Ashforge is ruled by eight powerful lords — the bosses of L_Ender's Cataclysm — each entrenched in a dungeon fortress scattered across the Overworld, Nether, and End. Your goal is to complete the Slayer Quest, a guided quest line (powered by FTB Quests) that tasks you with overthrowing every lord and freeing the world from their grip.
Tip: If you have played L_Ender's Cataclysm and Ice and Fire before, I recommend not using your past experience as a guide on how tough the bosses are — each boss has been tweaked to hit harder and tank more attacks. For example, tier 5 dragons now have a max of 2000 health instead of 500 and deal 1.3–2 times the amount of damage. This pack is for people who want a challenge.
To better prepare yourself you'll need to:
- Mine, smelt, and alloy your way through Tinkers' Construct, from early seared melters to late-game foundries.
- Forge and customise every piece of your loadout. Swords, pickaxes, armour — upgrade with modifiers and tune them to your playstyle.
- Learn magic through Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks to complement your melee kit with over 100 upgradable spells across elemental schools.
- Explore the dangerous world filled with elite mobs from Alex's Caves, Alex's Mobs, Mowzie's Mobs, Ice and Fire, and Mutant Monsters — all of which serve as slayer bounties on your path to the eight lords.
Tip: Each boss demands different preparation. The Netherite Monstrosity punishes melee rushers. Ignis melts through armour. The Ender Guardian warps the arena beneath your feet.

🎮 How to Play
- Start by gathering clay, sand, and gravel to build your first Tinkers' smelter.
- Open your quest book and begin the Slayer quests. Target elite mobs in the overworld. Later quests send you into Cataclysm bosses.
- Learn spells, raid wizard towers, and build your spellbook alongside your melee gear.
- Prepare for each Cataclysm lord. Study their patterns, upgrade your gear, and bring the right tools for the job.
- Dethrone all eight lords. Free the world.
