After almost a year of waiting Ant Pack V2.0 is finally here. There were so many changes I am considering it 2.0 a lot of content was removed added or changed so without further delay here it is.
-FTB Quests have been added and replaced advancements. If I learn how to remove and add Advancements then I will use them and have a fully custom system.
-A few custom crafting recipes(more may be added in future updates) and end to conflicting item names (there are probably some I still have to adjust)
-The old villagers no longer exist and have been replaced by new player like NPC’s. Now you can get married, have children and become king of a village. As a result of these changes villages now only spawn in plains biomes and Pillagers no longer exist in any fashion. Items relating to pillagers like totems of undying and cladded armor. Features like Wandering Traders are now also gone. Upon entering a new world players can customize their character. There are three main options I would recomend you to use the right option of Vanilla as your customization only affects your descendants as the middle and left options apply genetics. This can lead to you being permanently stuck as a vegetarian unable to eat meat.
-Several new biomes exist including a rainforest and maple woods.
-New ores being silver and spinel. Silver is a magical parody to gold and can craft an all new netherite alternative called necromium. Spinel is a strange ore that can craft weird items like the bejeweled apple and recall potion. In accordance with these material changes Netherite/Necronium will be the maximum tier of armor and anything above that will either get removed or have the armor values tweaked.
-Caves in addition to these new ores are packed with new dangerous creatures such as the Mimic, Peeper and Ghoul. There are also new hostile mobs on the surface such as the Quake.
-Unusual Prehistory and addons have been somewhat replaced. There are several new Sniffer like mobs to find that have unique uses. The main reason I did this change is Unusual Prehistory and addons are getting reworked and I am unsure how this will affect the pack and I think the new sniffer like mobs just fit in better and make more sense.
-New tameable and neutral mobs such as Zebras, Mammoths,Owls and Chulls. Chulls are a strange crab creature and need to be rediscovered like the sniffer. Owls while already existing have been swapped out for different mods owls and can be used to deliver small packages.
-Create has been updated to 6.0 this updates main feature was a unique storage system. This new storage rendered Tom’s storage irrelevant and thus is no longer in the pack. With the update to the new version of Create this has unfortunately caused a split in regards to what mods have updated. Most of the Create addons have been ported to this new version of the modpack and even some new ones like Create: Mobile Storage. The two largest of the Create Mods that will not be making it to this new update are Northstar and Steam and Rails. Steam and Rails will be readed as soon as it ports over to Create 6. I believe there is an unstable Alpha version so hopefully we won’t have to wait too long. Unfortunately I can not say the same for Northstar as it seems its creator has been radio silent for months and the mod may be dead.
-A complete Nether overhaul with a brand new structure and reworked Soul Sand Valley. The Nether roof no longer exists as there is something above it. The Wither has been buffed and should be more in line with the Bedrock version. Ruby's exist in the Nether which have some special properties. Expansion on Farmers Delight compact in the Nether.
-There is a new camera item and it has a lot of cool uses and an actual film and photo development system
-A new aircraft from Immersive Aircraft.
-A lot of Alex's Caves bug fixes and a brand new shadow casting system added by a submod.
-Major changes to archaeology structure should be less op and give more interesting items.
-End Content got swapped around, Endless Biomes replaced with Endergentic Expansion. The system for getting the unique eyes is gone as several of the eyes became unobtainable.
-Phantoms and the Insomnia mechanic are gone but the phantom membrane is still obtainable by killing the Moth.
- Changed which Backpack Mod we were using. Functionally about the same as the previous one.
-Under the Moon got removed as the mod sadly is discontinued.
-The Aether got one of its submods removed while another received a major update. Gloves should also be available in all major armor sets.
-Changes to enchanting now Protection and Sharpness are gone. This is to encourage players to use the other enchantments this mod adds.
-Blue skies got removed as it didn't fit well with the pack
-Gravestone curios will go back to their rightful location after breaking a grave and won’t spill on the floor.
-Mowzies Mobs got removed
