You spawn in. You punch your wood. You learn that you can't craft planks. In this book that fell from the sky you see that you must make a pic with flint to cut the logs in the crafting bench to get planks. Then once you get power with thermal you can finally jump dimensions,create a diamond world if you want. Or try making these magical crops that will grow diamonds and other items. I guess you want storage eventually so you can use draws to start then progress into AE2 or Refined storage. need a huge power storage system, build a magical floating ball in the air. Becareful reactors might blow you up, it is really toxic!
