AEROS Update Notes
The workshop doors open once more, but not every machine survived the pressure test.
This update focuses on stability, cleanup, and keeping the world of AEROS moving forward without unnecessary crashes blocking your journey. Some parts of the machinery have been adjusted, some suspicious bolts have been tightened, and a few unstable components have now been fully removed from the pack.
Changes & Fixes
- Disabled mods have been removed
- Mods that were previously disabled have now been removed from the pack files.
- This helps reduce confusion, lowers the chance of unwanted loading issues, and keeps the pack cleaner going forward.
- Steam ’n Rails has been removed
- After testing, Steam ’n Rails continued to cause crashes to desktop.
- Because of this, it has been removed from the active pack for now to protect world stability.
- Further crash investigation and cleanup
- Several recent crash reports pointed toward mod interaction issues rather than a single simple startup failure.
- The pack has been adjusted to reduce instability during world creation and gameplay.
- Recipe and compatibility warnings reviewed
- Some recipe errors may still appear in the logs where optional or missing mod items are referenced.
- These are being monitored, but not every log warning means the game is broken. Minecraft logs love drama. We do not.
- General stability pass
- Internal testing continues around Create-related addons, world loading, and mod compatibility.
- The goal remains simple: fewer crashes, smoother worlds, and less “why did the door just explode?” energy.
Known Notes
AEROS is still a large and evolving modpack, which means some mods may behave badly when combined with others. We are continuing to test problematic interactions, especially around Create addons, worldgen, recipe integrations, and UI/quest-related content.
The questbook and some textures may still contain unfinished or placeholder content. These are planned to improve as the pack moves closer to a full release-ready state.
Recommended
If you were affected by crashes involving recently disabled mods, updating to this version is strongly recommended.
As always: make a backup of your world before updating. The machine is alive, but it is still a machine.
Thank you for testing AEROS.
Your crash reports, feedback, and patience help shape the pack into something better with every version.
The skies are not calm yet — but the engines are still running.
