Update 1.4.1 ~ Rounding Out The Adventure
A first bug fixing patch for the 1.4.0 update. I hope it's the last one before I go back to working on content updates!
Hopefully this version will also soon be on Modrinth for more people to enjoy.
Mod changes
- Merged FTBQuests Freeze Fix with ADJCore to prevent it from crashing on launch if FTB Quests is not present.
- Replaced Pretty Rain with something a bit less aesthetic, but much more clean and performant.
Balance Changes
- Nerfed Oreberries. Rather than being guaranteed to drop 3 nuggets and have an extra chance to drop 2 and/or 1 extra, they now always drop 2 nuggets with a 66% chance to drop 1 extra.
- Reduced the loot rates of Portal Guns by about 30%.
- Increased drop chance of Moon Charm (2% -> 5%).
- Terrasteel is a bit cheaper to make. Mana cost went down from half a Mana Pool worth of Mana to about a third.
Other
Gameplay changes
Added Wormhole PotionsPostponed until future update due to problems on dedicated servers.- Added Recall Potions to a lot of chest loot tables.
- Calendars are now stackable to 999.
- Bamboo and Sugar Cane can now be waterlogged.
- Florist villager sells a tiny bit more stuff.
- Uranium Oreberries can now be eaten.
- Tide crates now have unique loot again. Some of them have also seen an expansion in the loot pools.
- Fish are stackable again.
Performance changes
- Compressed down boss music. Music pack size went down by like 300 MB.
- Add a special outlined font and started using this in place of some outlined GUI text.
- While on the topic of that - optimized HUD text rendering. This is a much bigger optimization than it sounds, because rather than 20 different text elements, I am now only rendering 4
- EMI no longer reloads itself when chapters are progressed.
- Disabled plenty of FancyMenu mixins. What it means for you is the game will run a bit more smoothly.
Literally why are Listeners a thing in the mod?? KUBEJS IS RIGHT THERE. I am not even going to mention the fact that most of them have horrendous performance. WHY DO WE NEED AN EVENT FOR WHEN AN ENTITY ENTERS A SCREEN??? WHO EVEN NEEDS TO INTERCEPT THAT EXACT MOMENT??
Visual/Ambient Changes
- Resprited Lootr chests.
- Added 32 new loading screen backgrounds, courtesy of 3 lovely people from Discord - Valerypire, The Dragon and Persie.
- Resprited Eye of Curiosity and Eye of Hedonism.
