"The empires of old oft seek new lands to conquer. They send ships into the great beyond, some never to return. They send parties of explorers into the wilds, only for them to return with terrible stories of great beasts. However, not all expeditions end in failure. Recently, one ship returned with news of a new archipelago, far to the west, brimming with resources. Each of its islands holds a great bounty, waiting to be extracted. However, these resources cannot be extracted without settlers. Thus, the empires now seek individuals of strong character, willing to push forwards the frontier, willing to brave hardships for the good of civilization! From merchants to miners, farmers to foresters, soldiers to sailors, everyone can have a purpose in these great efforts. If you feel that you are one of these brave few, head to your nearest shipyard, where you will meet your fellow colonists, ready to set out to a great new world. Oh, and do mind the natives. They can be... uncooperative..."
This modpack was made specifically for the Archaeocraft Ocean Event, an RP event set amongst an undiscovered archipelago, focused around the theming of the golden age of piracy. Build up your settlement, become a merchant, explore distant islands, or perhaps even become a buccaneer, all of these and more are possible in our event.
This modpack makes numerous changes to game balance, specifically to support our event-specific balancing. For instance, copper is a much more prominent resource in the pack, and is required alongside iron to make many components. This pack is not designed to be used outside of our event, however it will still work.
