Description
A Shadow at Dusk is a difficult challenge modpack made for version 1.16.5. Playing through the pack, you will encounter trial after trial and be forced to overcome great difficulty handcrafted for the survival experience. I always liked the Epic Fight mod, and this pack started off as a project involving making something completely surrounding its mechanics. It quickly evolved to become the ultimate Minecraft exploration and combat pack.
Quick notes:
- Find gravel to break down for flint
- Right click flint on the top of a hard block to get flint shards
- Combine these shards with sticks from leaves to make a flint knife
- Use the flint knife to cut tall grass around you and get plant fibers
- Use plant fibers to make plant string which can be used to make a flint axe
- Use the flint axe to cut down a tree and get wood
- Press "R" to switch between combat mode and mining mode (you cannot attack enemies in mining mode)
- Find skillbooks in chests which can be used to learn combat abilities
- Craft a variety of new weapons other than the basic sword and shield
- Watch the health on your chest and head
- Use a campfire to regenerate, as you will not be able to regenerate health naturally
- Beware the dragons
OptiFine is recommended for performance and shaders, but you must install OptiFine_1.16.5_HD_U_G8 to avoid a crash
