ZombieMod 3.8.0+mc26.2
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
2026-10-21. What they leave behind.
Added
- Mob Drops in JEI. With ZombieMod and JEI on the client, looking up an item's sources lists
every genus and mob that drops it, with its doll, the chance per kill and how many. Covers every
mob with a loot table, not only genera. By default you only see what you have killed
(
mobDrops.killedOnly), and new kills appear straight away. JEI is optional; without it nothing changes. See Mob drops in JEI in the README. The Corpse is left out: it drops what its player was carrying, not a table. - A genus can be more (or less) common in particular places —
spawn.weights, a list of weights each with its own conditions; the first that holds replaces the genus'sweightthere. See Spawning in the README. - A warning at startup for a CityWorld class name that matches nothing. With CityWorld
installed, any
city_lotorcity_districtclassesentry CityWorld has no class for is named in the log, with the genus or horde it is in and the nearest real name.
Changed
- Block-breaking abilities ask about each block. Breakers, infesters and anything that replaces
a block now post NeoForge's
LivingDestroyBlockEventper block, so a protection mod can guard particular blocks or structures from them, not only switch mob griefing off entirely. A refused block is skipped and the next one tried. - The Vault Dweller lives in the vaults. Still an occasional find deep underground anywhere (weight 6); inside a CityWorld vault it is weight 250, most of what you will meet there.
- CityWorld class names may leave off their suffix —
"Hospital"matchesHospitalLot,"Highrise"matchesHighriseContext. Full names still work.
Fixed
- Hordes in a second world. Quit to the title screen and open another world in the same game, and natural hordes could stay away from it for days of play: the horde cooldown was remembered from the first world, in its time. Everything ZombieMod keeps between ticks now resets when a world closes. Found by the ZARP pack's audit.
Requirements — there is a jar per Minecraft version, named for the one it was built against. Take the one that matches your server.
| Minecraft | NeoForge | Java |
|---|---|---|
| 1.21.11 | 21.11.42+ | 21 |
| 26.1.2 | 26.1.2.95+ | 25 |
| 26.2 | 26.2.0.59+ | 25 |
| 26.3 | 26.3.0.58+ (NeoForge beta) | 25 |
Install on the server. Your players do not need the mod — a stock client can join and meet every genus. Installing it client-side too is optional and adds the ZombieDex screen, and a Mob Drops category if you have JEI.
