Changelog
1.1.0
Minecraft 1.21.1 (Fabric), client-only. Built and tested against Xaero's Minimap 26.5.0 and Xaero's World Map 1.46.0.
Added
- Mod Menu icon.
- Live icon audit:
/xaeroiconfix audit live(singleplayer only) and the unattended mode summon every living entity type in the integrated server, in batches of 8 in front of the player, like/summon(finalized spawn) but with no AI, silent, invulnerable and persistent, while the server is tick-frozen. After the client has received each entity and drawn it in the world at least once, its icon is requested for that real client entity exactly like the radar. Then the batch and anything it spawned are removed. Types the server cannot create are reported asNOT_SUMMONABLE. - The audit report now has both results per entity (live and fresh columns).
- Portraits for every entity whose live icon is
FAILEDorDOT: rendered with the normal entity renderer (custom models and animations as players see them) into an offscreen target, orthographic, flat full-bright shading, no shadow or fire, rest pose. One model pixel is 4 framebuffer pixels, reduced by majority vote to one texel per pixel and cropped. Views_front,_side(left profile) and_head_front(head parts only, when the model has one), written to<game dir>/xaeroiconfix/portraits/<namespace>/and listed inportraits/index.tsv. - The unattended audit world now also has mob griefing, mob loot and entity drops turned off.
Changed
/xaeroiconfix auditwithoutliveis the fresh-instance audit from 1.0.0.- The unattended mode runs the live audit. The default timeout is 30 minutes.
1.0.0
First release. Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric, client-only. Built and tested against Xaero's Minimap 26.5.0 and Xaero's World Map 1.46.0.
Fixed
- Players on the Xaero's Minimap radar and on Xaero's World Map (which reuses the minimap's radar icons) are drawn as the plain vanilla head and hat with their own skin. Before, Xaero traced the live player renderer, so custom player models (Entity Model Features with the Fresh Moves pack), Entity Texture Features skin features and 3D Skin Layers could leave the hat offset, parts missing, the head clipped, or another player's skin on the icon (EMF issue #311).
- Player icons are cached by skin texture plus hat on/off instead of whatever the game's player texture lookup returns after other mods changed it, so two players never share a cached icon and an icon made before a skin finished downloading is replaced once the real skin is there.
Added
/xaeroiconfix audit(client command): asks Xaero for the radar icon of every living entity type the way the radar does and writes<game dir>/xaeroiconfix/icon_audit.txt(OK / DOT / FAILED / NOT_INSTANTIATED with the icon source and Xaero's own failure message), plus a self-test of the player icon exported asxaeroiconfix/player_icon.png.- Unattended audit mode, only with
-Dxaeroiconfix.autoAudit=true: opens a flat creative test world, runs the audit, writes a# RESULT: COMPLETEor# RESULT: FAILED <reason>line and closes the client. A watchdog (-Dxaeroiconfix.autoAudit.timeoutMinutes, default 20 in this version) and a shutdown hook make sure a result line is always written. - Gradle tasks
runIconAuditDev(minimal dev client) andrunIconAudit(the full pack from its CurseForge install, in a scratch game dir), for development.
Unchanged on purpose
- Every other entity's icon, and Xaero's flat skin faces for tracked players outside the loaded radar range.
- Entity Model Features, Entity Texture Features, Fresh Moves and 3D Skin Layers configs: player models stay animated in the world.
