Description
This is the custom core mod built specifically for the Willow Springs server. We made this to handle a lot of the heavy lifting behind the scenes, so it's not really meant to be dropped into random modpacks.
Here is what it actually does for our community:

Custom Chat & Ranks: This mod completely takes over the vanilla Minecraft chat. It handles all of our custom server ranks (Helper, Admin, Dev, Staff, Wanderer, and Native) and colored nicknames. It saves all this data locally, so your identity stays exactly the same even when the server restarts.

Server Assets & Resources: Instead of forcing you guys to redownload the whole modpack every time we tweak a texture or add a sound, WillowRoots acts as a hub for our custom assets. It lets us push visual updates to the client dynamically.

The Backend (API Stuff): It acts as the bridge between the game and our external databases. This is what actually allows our custom shops, server economy, and live leaderboards to talk to the game.
Just a heads-up: You are completely free to download this, but the API endpoints, chat prefixes, and assets are hardcoded specifically for Willow Springs. It won't do much for your own server unless you're playing with us!
