GENERAL

  • Fixed debug info being offset wrong on larger monitor sizes

TORNADOES

  • Stage 5 and 4 tornadoes are more destructive over all
  • Tornadoes will now stay pure blue when over water like in the original mod
  • Storm cloud particles can now drift away from the main cloud - reminiscent of an old bug in the original mod
  • Far particle distance has been reduced for all builtin tornadoes

CONFIG

  • The config file no longer needs to be regenerated after updates! The changes will simply be added to your file.
  • Added config option to "remove" puzzle chamber structures; they are instead replaced by a single ventilated cell block which always has a weather device in it so you can still get the crafting material
  • Added config option for emissive tornadoes (helps for shaders)
  • Added config option for using old-style particles from 1.2.5. This is only a client-side option, so in multiplayer different players can have this enabled or not
  • Added an experimental config option for custom particle overrides for builtin tornadoes. Changing the option to true in the config file will generate a second config file. In here you can manually change the particle settings for builtin tornadoes just like custom tornadoes. You can also set the tornado height scale for builtin tornadoes. Some things to note:
    • The height scale only goes from 0.5 - 2. This scales the server-side stuff as well as the particles. Does not affect custom tornadoes.
    • The particle increases scale from 0 to 1. Setting them to -1 will "default" them to placeholder values.
    • The particle count scales from 0 to 20. Setting them to -1 will "default" them to placeholder values.
    • Although I tested this and it works just fine, the performance can take a hit, and there may be some interactions that are buggy with this option turned on. For instance, the very top of tall tornadoes will not tear terrain.
    • For as long as the experimental option is true in the main config file, tornadoes will not use normal particle settings. They look fine enough even if you leave all the settings -1, but they are not the same as normal. The mod assumes you will edit them yourself.
    • Make sure to use the /weather_mod update command for updating the particles real time; none of the settings have the _R suffix.
    • This will remain an experimental option indefinitely. If you want a more stable option, use the custom tornadoes.

I hope those of you who were looking for a more original experience will appreciate these changes.
