Looking for a more diversified weaponry? Maybe melee vanilla-styled weapons ( 128 of them ) ? Or some miscs? Jackpot. That's Blacksmith's whole point.
Blacksmith
Summary
Blacksmith's a truly simple mod with a simple target: bring many new weapons to the game. As of now, Blacksmith brings 17 weapon types, 1 new weapon tier and 8 misc weapons, bringing a total of 128 new weapons to the Minecraft Universe. Almost all of them are craftable, or obtainable in a way or another. Updates will surely be coming. So now, let me explain everything in a bit more detail.
Balancing modifier :
- All Gold tier weapons have an additional level of Haste while equipped ( the original Golden Sword has 2 )
The new Weapon Tier
The new weapon tier is a definitely more powerful one, and that one is Starcharge . Starcharge tier weapons can be obtained the same way you upgrade diamond tools to netherite, but instead upgrading netherite using a Nether Star .
Example: Netherite Sword + Nether Star = Starcharge Sword ( pretty self-explanatory if you ask me )
The New Miscs
Not many of them as of now, but here they are:
- The Instant TNT - a TNT that blows up instantly
- Dynamite - a throwable dynamite that explodes on impact
- Elemental Orbs - 5 new throwable elemental orbs that have different effects and do damage to everyone nearby on impact
- Runic Touch - makes you extremely vulnerable for the next 3 seconds but grants a huge Absorption buff afterwards
The new Weapon Classes
Blacksmith brings 3 new weapon classes and 17 new weapon types. Most of them are simple, others have special attributes, all of them are listed below :
- Straightswords ( no weapon type special attribute ). Special Straightswords :
- Broken Straightsword - extreme durability, will be used in future recipes
- Cavalry Sword - wooden and stone tiers are unobtainable in Survival, the iron variant can be obtained from an Iron Golem with a 1.8% chance of dropping when killed, and the other tiers can be achieved by upgrading it at the Smithing Table the same way you obtain Netherite Tier Tools
- Twinsword - when 2 twinswords are equipped at the same time in both main-hand and off-hand hits receive great buffs, the 9th hit is a double hit that deals 170% damage and the user receives some other small additional buffs, but every hit has a 65% chance of degrading both weapons
- Quickblade - hits often give a small speed buff
- Strikesword - sprinting for some time gives great buffs for a small period of time, greatly enhancing a sprinting hit
- Shripper - the 10th hit deals bonus damage based on the target's armor, otherwise shortly speedbuffs the user
- Daggers ( daggers have a permanent Haste II passive effect ). Special Daggers:
- Sai - every once in a while swinging the sai gives the user a resistance buff for a short time
- Bloodlust Dagger - hitting an enemy that's below 20% health will speed you up and insignificantly heal you
- Quickrun Dagger - every 10 seconds, hitting an enemy will make you go really fast for a short period of time
- Greatswords ( greatswords are slow and strong, slow you if off-handing, and attacks need to be charged to at least 70% to do damage ). Special Greatswords : - Lord's Greatsword - right clicking slows you and weakens you, but enchants your weapon with knockback II and makes you take reduced damage for a short period of time ( 12 cd )
