Wayendos Rollercoaster 1.2.0 – The Fidelity Update
Everything looks, sounds and feels better. No new ride type this time – instead the lifts got real chains and belts, the water really flows, the guests found their voices, and the example park was rebuilt into a real theme park. Plus two new toys for builders: rail profiles and lightning.
New for builders
- Rail profiles: the Track Designer now offers five track types – steel tube, wood, box (a wide box beam on thick box columns), monorail and 4-tube (a steel truss with webs). They are kept in blueprint codes.
- Lightning: the effect nozzle has a fourth effect. Jagged arcs jump to lightning rods nearby (up to 7 blocks) – build your own Tesla coils and let them fire when a train passes.
Looks
- Chain lift: a continuous chain of links runs under the car at exactly the train's speed – no more flickering dots.
- Log flume lift: two wide rubber belts with moving ribs pull the boat up. Only a trickle runs back between them, and at the top of each lift the water bubbles up.
- Log flume water flows forward everywhere, with little wave crests and foam drifting slightly faster than the boat.
- Hanging tracks carry their spine above the running rails, where it belongs.
- Monorail: cars ride on a saddle bogie that wraps around the beam.
- Wooden coasters: the lattice follows the banking of the track – no beams poke through steep banked turns.
- Transfer tables and turntables stand on a fixed base – nothing floats in the air any more.
Sounds
- Guests have voices. Far less giggling, many different sounds, used sparingly and matching the moment: giggles while boarding, tense silence on the lift, happy screams on drops and at high speed, a "whoa" upside down, spluttering after the splash, a relieved "phew" or clapping on the final brake, a "wow" after a good ride, a queasy groan after a wild one – and very rarely a scared yelp. A full train is no louder than a half-empty one.
- Longer sound loops (10–20 s instead of 3–4 s) for chain, rolling, wind and the launch magnets.
Example park: rebuilt as a real theme park
Four redesigned rides (all available as templates in the blueprint book):
- Woodworm – a twisting wooden coaster with sweeping curves: diagonal first drop, hills that bend through the turns, and five passes through its own lattice (507 m, 68 km/h).
- Gold Rush Express – a family mine train without an inversion: two chain lifts, a helix, five tunnels through the rocks, and the transfer table at ground level inside its workshop (532 m).
- Jungle Thunder – now a flying coaster on box track: the seats tilt forward, then launch to 79 km/h, a big loop, a corkscrew straight through the temple and a zero-g roll (480 m).
- Dragon Flight – on 4-tube track: 26 m lift, an Immelmann next to the dragon, a zero-g roll, a heartline roll and two "keyholes" between castle towers (498 m, 74 km/h).
Scenery in every area:
- Food stalls with vendors, counters, awnings and tables under parasols – instead of empty huts.
- Croatia (Electron): a limestone karst landscape with waterfalls and turquoise ponds between the tracks, a village with a piazza, a white bell tower, cypresses, vineyards, lavender and ruins. The station is an old hydro power plant. Tesla coils throw lightning at the launches and in the turntable hall, and several Tesla towers crackle all the time.
- Runefell (Taurus): a reshaped rock massif – forested summits, scree slopes down to the village and the canyon, snow on the highest tops. No more sheer walls.
- Black Forest: the log flume's mountain runs out into foothills and forest, and the channel rests on the ground everywhere.
- Wild West, Jungle, Lumberjack Camp, Dragon Castle: a mine cart workshop, tunnel portals, a water tower and a headframe; a stone gate, stone heads and a temple trail; a trail under the Woodworm's lattice to the sawmill; castle walls with towers and braziers. Covered queues with lanterns everywhere.
- No more boxes: the areas blend into each other with curved, frayed borders, the paths wind instead of turning at right angles, and forest and mountains run through from Runefell to the Black Forest.
Fixes and performance
- Flying coaster: the seats no longer sit up again briefly while the train starts.
- Splash pool: no more spikes in the middle of the channel where the pool narrows.
- Animals (cows, sheep, horses …) no longer walk across tracks or through the water channel.
- Photos are no longer saved as files; they only show on the photo walls. Less stutter.
- Performance: distant tracks are drawn in a simplified version and tracks outside your view are skipped – big parks draw only about a quarter of the geometry.
Note for existing worlds: the new example park is built with /coasterpark in a fresh world (or use the example
world). Your own rides are not changed.
Wayendos Rollercoaster 1.1.1 – The Water Update
A new ride type, lots of ways to style your trains and tracks, and a few fixes.
New: Log Flume
- Choose "Log flume" when you start a new ride (next to sit-down and hanging): the track becomes a wooden water channel and the train a log boat.
- The boats float: they drift with the current on flat parts, sway and bob in the water, drift outwards in curves and bump along the walls. Conveyor lifts and drops guide them straight, just like the real thing.
- Water flows downhill on lifts and drops; flat water slows the boat down after every drop.
- New "Splash" element: a wide pool at the foot of a drop. Every drop ends with a big splash of spray.
- Own sounds: lapping water on flat parts, rushing water on drops and lifts, a muffled conveyor lift and a big splash.
- "Build terrain" in the "Ride …" window piles up earth under low sections of a ride.
- Example park: the Wild Water Mill in a new Black Forest area – three lifts and three drops on a snowy mountain, starting from a half-timbered mill with a water wheel.
New: style your trains
- "More …" in the train menu: seat model (coaster seat, bench, bucket seat, throne, hanging seat), 4 seats per row, 2 rows per car, shoulder bars, accent colour, seat colour and headlights.
- In-game hint (and a tip on the park entrance board) on how to change the train: train in hand, sneak + right-click.
New: style your tracks
- LED strips along the rails in 16 colours – they glow at night.
- Use any block as texture for rails and supports: hold the block in your off-hand in the designer.
- Launch tracks spark and puff while the magnets push the train.
- The example park's rides got LEDs (Taurus red, Electron white-blue) and new car options.
Improvements
- Villagers no longer walk across tracks or through the water channel – they go around.
- When you ride along, the front row stays free for you, so you can look ahead and to both sides.
- Visitors are happier to listen to: mostly quiet while walking, giggling and "whoa!" on the ride, laughing after a good one.
- "New track" in the build menu is now called "Finish ride": the track builder lets go of the current ride, the next click starts a new one.
Fixes
- Fixed a crash right after loading a world (trains with seat models before the tracks had arrived).
Wayendos Rollercoaster 1.1.0 – The Builder Update
Thanks for all the feedback on 1.0.0! This update lets you build your own trains, reshape finished tracks and control your park much more precisely.
New: build your own trains
- Platform loco (new train style): the front car is a platform you can build on – 3 × 4 cells, up to 4 layers, with half-size blocks. Right-click with a block to place it, left-click removes exactly that block. A preview shows the real block, already turned the right way. Your build rides along through every loop.
- Build-your-own train: every car is a platform – riders sit exactly where you place seats.
- 5 seats: coaster seat, wooden bench, bucket seat, throne and hanging seat.
- Hanging trains build downwards: the platform sits under the rail and blocks are placed like against a ceiling.
New: edit finished tracks
- Node Tool: point at a joint of the track to raise, lower or move it – the rails around it adapt smoothly.
- Rebuild sections: remove the piece before or after a joint, build something new at the open end (e.g. a helix) and click the other end to close the gap. You can now also build backwards from the start of a track.
- "Ride …" in the build menu: turn (15° / 90°), raise, lower or move a whole ride – great after placing a blueprint – and give it a name that shows at the station and on the park board.
- Stop Lever: place it next to a station – pulled, the next train stays there and all others wait behind it.
Trains
- Flying coaster: you board sitting upright; the seats fold into the flying position just before departure.
- Rescue drive: a stuck train is pushed on at 18 km/h and shows a flashing red warning light.
- Trains no longer roll backwards out of sloped stations, and a train that fails a hill is braked and pushed forwards.
- Trains can only be removed while holding the train item – no more accidental deletes while building.
Park
- Visitor slider ("Visitors …" in the build menu): 0–200 %. Extra villagers walk out, new ones run in – or "Apply now" for an instant change.
- Park Board and Park Entrance blocks for your own parks.
- Villagers now raise their arms during the ride.
Photos
- Photo booths now photograph every train with riders, not just yours (flash and click only when it's you).
- Better pictures: telephoto lens aimed at the riders' faces, you are on the photo yourself, and supports in the way are hidden.
- Only your own photos are saved as files; saving no longer causes stutter.
- Photo booths in the example park got spots with a clear view.
Wooden coasters
- The lattice now also stands under steep drops.
- More head room at tunnel entrances behind steep drops.
