Wave Survivor 1.4.0 — Calm Objectives & Progression
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Wave Survivor 1.4.0
🏰 Kingdom — Calm Objectives
Each Calm can now offer an optional objective, drawn at random among the enabled ones. Everything is customizable in the editor (Calm › Objectives tab): creatures, HP, duration, frequency, rewards and loot.
- 🛒 Convoy — A supply caravan approaches the Monolith while monsters attack it. Escort it to within 5 blocks of the Monolith to earn resources.
- ⚔ Gate Champion — An elite and its guard come out of a Gate. Slay it for Essence and customizable loot (a roulette chest key by default).
- 🧭 Buried Treasure — A chest is hidden underground and a dedicated HUD arrow leads to it. Find it for coins and loot. The ground is restored afterwards.
- 🩸 Purification — Corruption hearths appear. Purify none and the next Assault gets more units; purify them all and it gets fewer.
🏰 Kingdom — Other additions
- 🚩 Banner Bearer: new siege role. While alive, nearby monsters get +20% speed and +25% damage. When it falls, its squad is slowed and you gain 1 Essence.
- Wave cleared in time: kill the last units before the forced-end countdown runs out to earn a small bonus (treasury resources in Kingdom, emeralds in classic hordes). Amounts are configurable.
- Catalyst announcements now give an 8-way direction and distance from the Monolith.
- Second HUD arrow for objectives, separate from the role arrow.
- Roles: the Miner becomes the ⛏ Harvester and now also works on trees; the Scavenger is buffed (more siege debris, Stone from breaches, 12% chance of debris on any monster); the Arcanist now sees corruption hearths and purifies them twice as fast, but leaving them all alive doubles the penalty.
- /ws kclean [radius] and /ws kclean scan remove leftover Kingdom blocks (towers, invisible colliders) after a server stopped mid-game. Leftovers are also cleaned automatically when the server starts.
🌳 Chaos events
- New event: Majestic Tree. A huge animated tree with roots, swaying foliage and glowing fruits. Chop it with an axe for Wood. Trunk, foliage and fruit blocks are configurable.
- Deposits now drop 2 Iron + 8 Stone per size.
- In Kingdom, deposits and trees can also appear during the Calm.
🗿 Altar
- The Bind screen now has two tabs: ⚔ Hordes and ♛ Kingdoms.
- Progression: hordes can require other hordes to be finished first. Locked hordes are shown with 🔒 and their requirements, and cannot be bound or started. Vanilla and Modded variants count as the same horde. Creative players bypass locks.
- Default chain: Tuto Vanilla → La Nécropole → Horde des profondeurs → Les Terres Brûlées → Le Néant Éternel → Le Conclave Arcanique. Le Siège des Pillards unlocks after La Nécropole. Existing worlds receive these requirements once; hordes that already have requirements, and custom hordes, are left untouched.
- 📍 Layout screen: place each roulette chest and each merchant exactly where you want around the altar or Monolith, on a top-down grid showing your painted floor. Unplaced items can be placed automatically or left out. Merchants are linked by name and face the Monolith.
🛠 Editor
- Starting templates: Short classic, Long classic, Kingdom or Empty.
- Collaborative editing: several players can edit the same horde. Tabs being edited by someone else are locked, saves are merged per tab, and a "Revert changes" button discards your unsaved edits.
- Horde sharing: export a horde to a .zip (with its custom entities, chests and altar), then import it with /ws import or the Import button. Name conflicts can be replaced or kept side by side.
- Validation: a "Check" button lists issues, also checked when saving. Click an issue to jump to its tab.
- Test the wave: spawn any wave from the Overview tab to try it, then clean up.
📖 Codex
New in-game Codex (/ws codex or the 📖 button on the altar screen) explaining every mechanic: roles, omens, mutators, affixes, defenses, traps and more.
🎨 Visuals
- New 32×32 textures for the Guardian's Seal and Silver Tongue relics.
🐛 Fixes
- Gate Guardians are no longer drawn as regular Assault units, and fallback picks only use units active for the current wave.
- Siege templates now respect their wave window. Mounts and riders spawned outside waves are properly untracked.
- Kingdom leftovers are tracked so they can always be removed.
