Custom Origins for the Warborn SMP

Description

The Warborn Origins

An Origins addon for Minecraft Forge 1.20.1 that adds 14 playable races, each with unique powers, strengths, and weaknesses. Based on Medieval Origins and adapted for use on Warborn Realms Server.


Elves

Race Attribute - Vegitarian

High Elf

High Elf

Warborn who choose High Elf origin acknowledge that in their past life they were magic users. From those who could bring down the moon on someone to a magician pulling a rabbit out of their hat, they saw with magic they could accomplish any goal.

  • Elven Stature: 1.15x height, 0.95x width
  • +:Arcane Mastery: +20% magic damage dealt(Iron N Spells Magic)
  • -:Fragile: +20% physical damage taken
  • o:Encumbered: -10% movement speed per heavy armor piece (Feather Falling negates)
  • A:Arcane Surge: Active Ability: Sacrafice a magical catalyst for Regeneration II or Resistance I. (20s cooldown)

Moon Elf

Moon Elf

Warborn who choose Moon Elf origin acknowledge that in their past life they were the unseen. Using shadows and darkness to exceute their calculated move. Their victims would never see them coming.

  • Elven Stature: 1.15x height, 0.95x width
  • +:Nimble: 15% chance to dodge attacks, +10% movement speed
  • -:Assassin's Focus: Slowness also gives player weakness 4
  • o:Hydrophobia: 1 damage per second in water or rain (Aqua Affinity protects)
  • A:Moonlit Veil: Invisibility while sneaking in the dark (uses stealth meter), Unleash 3x bonus damage strike with full stealth bar 

Wood Elf

Wood Elf

Warborn who choose Wood Elf origin acknowledge that in their past life they were a friend of nature. Prefering to be outside. Outdoor activities were their favorite from planting flowers to hunting all types of species.

  • Elven Stature: 1.15x height, 0.95x width
  • +:Light on Feet: -50% fall damage
  • -:Flammable: +50% all fire damage taken
  • o:Nature's Veil: Invisibility and night vision while standing in vegetation
  • A:Flower Affinity: Planted 3+ of a flower type for passive effects (max 2 simultaneously)
Dwarves

Race Attribute - 20% Faster Mining Speed

Mountain Dwarf

Mountain Dwarf

Warborn who choose Mountain Dwarf origin acknowledge that in their past life they were hardy people. Built strong and could withstand anything thrown at them. Not bad at out drinking everyone else as well.

  • Dwarf Stature: 0.85x height, 1.1x width
  • +:Mountain Born: Fortune I and Night Vision while underground
  • -:Dense Body: Cannot swim, sinks in water, Slowness while submerged
  • o:Sun Sensitivity: Blindness when out in the sun, (netherite tier helmet or above removes effect)
  • A:Dwarven Brew: Active Ability: Instant Health I and Saturation (25s cooldown)

Wild Dwarf

Wild Dwarf

Wandering survivors of the wilds. They haggle better prices but are vulnerable to explosions. At night they become faster but weaker - a shield negates this weakness at the cost of speed. Their energy shockwave pushes enemies back.

  • Dwarven Stature: 0.85x height, 1.1x width
  • +:Born Trader: Permanent Hero of the Village
  • -:Blast Vulnerable: +20% explosion damage taken
  • o:Nocturnal Surge: Night: +20% speed and Weakness I. Shield equipped negates weakness but removes speed bonus
  • Energy Shockwave: Active Ability: Push all enemies within 5 blocks back, 3 damage + Slowness I (18s cooldown)

Dark Dwarf

Dark Dwarf

Cursed dwarves bound to soul fire. Their tainted blood nullifies potions and makes Smite devastating. They mend near soul light, and their chains of death pierce all who stand in their way.

  • Dwarven Stature: 0.85x height, 1.1x width
  • +:Soul Mending: Regeneration I when within 8 blocks of soul light sources
  • -:Cursed: +75% damage from Smite-enchanted weapons
  • o:Potion Immunity: Immune to all potion effects (positive and negative, excluding regen)
  • A:Chains of Death: Active Ability: 12 magic damage to nearby enemies. Hold Shift for explosive variant. 20s cooldow

Human

Classic Minecraft adventurers with no special advantages or disadvantages.

  • None: Baseline vanilla gameplay

Withered

 

Warborn who choose Withered origin acknowledge that in their past life they were risk takers. There was no sacrafice they would not make to accomplish their goal. They take the bad with the good since even misfortune can be turned to their favor.

  • +:Undead Nature: Counted as undead, undead creatures are friendly
  • -:Contagious: Villagers refuse to trade
  • o:Withered Soul: Cannot sleep (can still set spawn point) but wither immune
  • A:Wither Cloud: Active Ability: AoE wither + magic damage around the player (25s cooldown)

Revenant

Revenant

Betrayers who forged Mortanis's prison, cursed to undeath. Denied Luminara's gifts, they cannot harvest crops and are burned by Smite. Yet, the dead recognize them as kin, and they sustain themselves by draining essence from the living.

  • +:Essence Extraction: On hit, deals bonus magic damage to living targets and grants Absorption
  • -:Necrotic Curse: +75% damage from Smite-enchanted weapons
  • o:Black Thumb: Cannot harvest crops
  • A:Revenance: Active Ability: Summon a zombie and skeleton servant (35s cooldown)
Monsters

Race Attribute - Carnivore

Arachnae

Arachnae

Tall spider-folk who scale walls and trap enemies in webs. Spiders see them as kin, but they are highly vulnerable to the Bane of Arthropods enchantment.

  • Arachnid Stature: 1.2x height, 0.95x width
  • +:Wall Climber: Climb walls by walking into them. Hold sneak to cling
  • -:Arthropod Bane: +75% damage taken from Bane of Arthropods enchanted weapons
  • o:Spider Friend: Spiders and Cave Spiders are passive towards you
  • A:Master of Webs: Active Ability: Hitting enemies places cobwebs at their position (8s cooldown), you are not slowed by cobwebs either

Goblin

Goblin

Small and cunning, Goblins are obsessed with gold and treasure. Their strong stomachs and nimble fingers make them excellent scavengers, though villagers charge them dearly.

  • Goblin Stature: 0.85x height, 0.85x width via Pehkui
  • +:Lucky Fingers: Passive Luck II
  • -:Haggler: Villagers charge significantly higher prices
  • o:Iron Stomach: Immune to Hunger and Poison effects
  • A:Gold Affinity: Gold weapons/armor gain substantial stats (equivalent to Netherite)

Orc

Orc

Created by goblins as brutish slaves, Orcs cast off their chains. Towering and powerful, they embody raw fury, but their goblin blood curses them with an insatiable hunger and restless anger that drives them ever toward conflict.

  • Orc Stature: 1.25x height, 1.15x width via Pehkui
  • +:Powerful Legs: +75% jump/step height
  • -:Ravenous: Hunger depletes 50% faster
  • o:Battering Ram: +100% knockback while sprinting
  • A:Dashing Supremacy: Active Ability: Charge forward with Speed III, Resistance I, dealing 8 AoE damage and Slowness (15s cooldown)
Beasts

Race Attribute - Night Vision

Boarling

Piglin Kind

Cursed remnants of mortal greed punished by Mortanis. Twisted into swine-like bodies, Piglin Kind crave gold. Bound to the Nether, these Warborn embrace their curse, turning survival into a weapon of dominion.

  • Boarling Stature: 1.05x height, 1.05x width
  • +:Fire Hunger: Standing in fire or lava restores hunger, fire immune
  • -:Hydrophobia: 1 damage every 1.5s in water or rain (Aqua Affinity protects)
  • o:Nether Strength: Nether: +20% attack damage, +10% speed. Overworld: -20% attack damage, -10% speed
  • A:Unholy Deal: Active Ability: Sacrifice 8 health for Strength II and Speed I (20s cooldown)

Siren

Siren

Enchanting water-dwellers who thrive beneath the waves. Sirens gain Dolphin's Grace and regeneration in water, but weaken on land. Their mesmerizing song pacifies hostile creatures.

  • Siren Stature: 0.9x width 
  • +:Aquatic Grace: In water: Dolphin's Grace, Regeneration I, Water Breathing
  • -:Land Weakness: On land: -15% movement speed, -15% attack damage
  • o:Siren's Charm: Permanent Hero of the Village
  • A:Siren's Song: Active Ability: Pacify hostile mobs within 10 blocks (Slowness V + Weakness III for 8s). 30s cooldown
