WallPaint

Recolor any block's face with a brush — no block placed, no space used. Persistent per-chunk paint, dye-based colors, area-fill buckets, texture-mimicking variants, and pipettes. For multiplayer, put it on the Fabric server and clients alike.

  • Big performance fix for large painted areas. Painting a big surface (e.g. a 50×50 floor) used to drop the framerate to single digits, especially with the Texture Paintbrush. The paint renderer was rebuilding and re-sorting all painted faces every frame and switching render layers per face (thousands of draw-call flushes). It now draws each layer in a single batch, caches per-block geometry, and skips the unnecessary per-frame translucency sort - large painted areas now render at normal framerates.
  • Stability: paint data is now stored in a concurrent map, fixing an occasional crash/disconnect when painting while the game synced chunk data on another thread.
  • Safety caps: flood-fill is capped at 2500 faces and per-chunk paint at 20,000 faces, to keep fills and chunk sync from getting out of hand.
