This mod is created by Pauljoda but he is unable to continue updating this mod...

So, I have decided to not let such an amazing mod drift into the void.
Pauljoda has generously gave me the permission to update this mod! I have added my own
twist into the mod and hopefully it is just as challenging and fun as before!

Overview

Vulcan's sword was his pride and joy, being very proud of his work, he decided to spread it's power across the land of Minecraft. Only the one who seeks it out will be deemed worthy of wielding it. Although, a catastrophe level threat is about to befall this land. Only by fighting the Ender dragon will the adventurer find true power. 

 
Structure

 Vulcan's Sword Structure

This mod adds in a custom generated structure which is where the ancient sword pedestal is located at.
The structure generates in all Forest/Plain/Jungle type biomes.
By placing in selected items onto the rune stones, it will activate the rune stones
Here are the required items:
◆ Blaze Powder, Magma Cream, Nether Brick & Scute

Once they are placed, go ahead and right click the sword pedestal and be prepared for a fight
After a long and hard battle with the mobs, right click the sword pedestal again to receive the Vulcan's Sword. 
[Do not leave the radius of the structure or else the trial will reset]
 

Sin Trial Structure

The structure generates in the Nether

 

By placing in selected items onto the pedestals and right clicking a water bottle onto the alter, the alter will generate a sin trial potion corresponding to the items placed on the pedestal.

 

These are the ingredients needed for each trial [Ingredients are customizable in the config file]

◆ Gluttony's Trial [ Cooked Beef, Cooked Cod, Cooked Rabbit ]

Envy's Trial [ Slime Ball, Magma Cream, Slime Block ]

◆ Lust's Trial [ Wheat, Wheat Seed, Carrot ]

Greed's Trial [ Diamond, Gold Ingot, Emerald ]

◆ Sloth's Trial [White Bed, Brown Bed, Lime Bed ]

Wrath's Trial [ Diamond Sword, Shield, Diamond Chestplate ]

◆ Pride's Trial [ Bow, Golden Apple, Ender Eye ]

 

The Pedestals will be destroyed upon success, however, the Pedestal can be crafted and be placed at the exact spot to reuse the alter

 

Vulcan's Revenge Sword

Vulcan's Sword consists of 4 stance (Right click to change stance)

 

◆ Fire: Ignites target
◆ Frost: Slows target in place
◆ Heavy: Deals heavy damage to target
◆ Wither: Applies Wither effect onto target

 

Four Horseman of the Apocalypse

In order to get the weapons of the respective horseman, you will need a rune to absorb their essence
 
Rune 
hr
There are 2 ways of getting a rune
OR
To capture their essence, first you will need is a horse.. or 4 horses (you can start with one)
Instructions:
◆ Death Rune: Apply wither effect onto the horse and right click the horse with a rune
◆ War Rune: Ignite the horse and right click the horse with a rune
◆ Famine Rune: Feed the horse until it is full and right click the horse with a rune
◆ Pestilence Rune: Apply poison effect onto the horse and right click the horse with a rune

After getting the runes, now you need to infuse the power onto an object..
 

 

Four Horseman of the Apocalypse Weapons

Death Scythe

Right Click the death rune with a Diamond Hoe in your off hand
Abilities
◆ Have a chance to life steal from target, chance is 100% if entity has glowing effect 
 
◈ Right clicking will apply glowing effect which causes the weapon to deal more damage to entity 
 
◈ Shift right click on entity to apply voodoo onto them. All damage receive will be transferred to the voodooed entity instead until the entity dies or voodoo runs out 
 
◆ On hold, upon receiving fatal damage, will revive player up to half of the player's max health and deals attacker's half max hp as damage onto them 

 

War Sword (Makhaira)

Right Click the war rune with a Diamond Sword in your off hand
Abilities
◆ Melee Attacks will have a chance to ignite target, on low health, ignite chance is 100% 
 
◈ Right clicking will apply temporary strength and resistance onto player, absorption will also be applied when low on health 
 
◈ Shift right click will set nearby creatures to fight among themselves 
 
◆ On hold, gains better resistance and strength on low health 

 

Pestilence's Bow

Right Click the pestilence rune with a Bow in your off hand
Abilities
◆ Shoots magical arrow which leaves a trail of toxic gas. When arrow hits an entity, it will apply plague to it. If an entity dies with plague on, the entity will release toxic gas around it 
 
◈ On crouching and charging the bow, toxic gas will be release around player 
 
◈ On shooting while crouching, the bow will fire 3 arrows with poor accuracy instead of 1 
 
◆ On hold, will be immune to all negative potion effects 

  

Famine's Scale

Right Click the famine rune with a Diamond Pickaxe in your off hand
Abilities
◆ Absorbs nearby life force(vegetation) to fill hunger. When holding, will absorb from creatures at random 
 
◆ On holding, will make nearby animals mate indefinitely 
 
◆ On holding, when attacked, have a chance to daze attacker which will cause them to become stunned. Stun effect will be removed upon taking damage or when timer runs out 
 
◈ Shift right click to swap hunger bar for health bar. (Will not work if health bar is more than hunger bar) 

  

 
Seven Deadly Sins

Trials

Upon drinking the trial potion,

the trial will commence and will last for 26 mins (or you can make a lingering potion and make it last 2 mins instead)

(Ending it early with milk or dying will not complete the trial)

Upon ending, the respective mask will be dropped and the trial will end

 

[ Gluttony's Trial ]

◆Player will only have 3 food bar and have constant hunger effect

 

[ Envy's Trial ]

◆All damage dealt will only be 1 damage

◆Silverfish and Vex will occasionally spawn around player

 

[ Lust's Trial ]

◆Most creatures will run away from the player

 

[ Greed's Trial ]

◆The emptier the inventory, the slower the player gets

 

[ Sloth's Trial ]

◆Player will occasionally teleport around randomly

◆Enderman will occasionally spawn around player

 

[ Wrath's Trial ]

◆Most creatures will attack the player

 

[ Pride's Trial ]

◆Player can only deal damage when the player is standing on a higher ground than the target

◆Zombie will occasionally spawn around player

 

Sin's Masks

Mask can be activated and deactivated by crouching and punching the air with empty hand.

 

All masks contains an urge threshold, if certain task are not done to keep the urge low, bad effects will befall the player.

You can check the urge meter on the mask's durability bar or via the warning message.

 

A warning will be shown before bad effects start to happen. 

The warning message can be moved around the screen via keys.

Shift + Up [ < ] Down [ > ] Left [ : ] Right [ " ]

 

You can also change it in the config file

 

◆Gluttony's Mask

[ Insatiable Hunger ]

 

❖ Will always be hungry

◆ Allows the player to eat almost everything by shift right-clicking the desired item to be eaten

◆ Certain items will grant the player potion effects, positive and/or negative

 

Must keep the urge low by eating

If the urge is too high, player will only have 1 food bar and have constant hunger effect

 

The items allowed to be eaten are configurable via a eatdata.json file, you will be able to add/remove items and change what effects it will give via the eatdata.json file. You can also add other item/blocks from other mods. More details will be found in the Mask's Data Section

 

◆Envy's Mask

◆ Allows the player to copy abilities from entity by right clicking on them

(Example: Bat will grant Flight, Echo Location and Night Vision)

 

Must keep the urge low by copying other's ability eating

If the urge is too high, player will be poisoned

 

The entitys allowed to be copied are configurable via a envyentitydata.json file, you will be able to add/remove entities and change what effects it will give via the envyentitydata.json file. You can also add other entities from other mods. More details will be found in the Mask's Data Section

 

◆Greed's Mask

◆ Have a chance of acquiring more items on kill/mining

◆ The more items in the player's inventory, the faster the player becomes and more extra drops will be acquired up to 5

❖ The lower the items in the player's inventory, the slow the player becomes and less additional drops will be acquired

(Example: If a zombie drops rotten flesh and the player inventory is full, up to 5 drops will be added upon picking up the 1 rotten flesh, giving the player a total of 6 rotten flesh)

 

The Items allowed to be dropped extra are configurable via a greeditemblacklist.json file, you will be able to blacklist items so they won't be affected by the mask via the greeditemblacklist.json file. You can also blacklist items from other mods. More details will be found in the Mask's Data Section

◆ All animals will be attracted to the player

◆ On interacting with animal, it will cause them to be in love

 

Must keep the urge low by getting attention from others and breeding

If the urge is too high, player will be blinded

◆ Surrounding creatures will be applied with fear and weakness

◆ Arrows will be reflected back when near player

 

Must keep the urge low by not getting hit

If the urge is too high, player will be applied with fear

 

◆Sloth's Mask

◆ Shift right-click to sleep anywhere, anytime 

◆ When player is not moving, an assistant will spawn around the player

◆ Player is able to command the assistant to attack any mobs, the drops will be given to the player

❖ Any damage the assistant suffered will be given to the player at 1/3 of the damage

❖ Assistant will despawn if player moves

 

Must keep the urge low by not moving

If the urge is too high, player will be forced to sleep

 

◆Wrath's Mask

[ Frenzy ]

 

◆ When attacking entity, the higher the combo, the better the strength and resistance effect

◆ On max combo, attacks will ignite the target and will grant fire resistance to the player

 

Must keep the urge low by attacking

If the urge is too high, player will be weakened

◆Arrow Attack Effect: Shoots arrow at nearby entities occasionally
Climb Effect: Able to climb surface like a spider
◆Dazed Effect: Entities will be unable to move and can't attack, will be snapped out of it when damaged
Echo Location Effect: Able to detect surrounding creatures
◆Egg Attack Effect: Shoots egg at nearby entities occasionally 
Evoke Effect: Summons fangs at nearby entities occasionally
◆Explosive Fire Charge Effect: Shoots explosive fire charge at nearby entities occasionally
Explosive Resistance Effect: Explosion deals no damage
◆Fall Resistance Effect: No fall damage will be taken
Fear Effect: Causes entities to panic
◆Flame Charge Effect: Shoots fire charges at nearby entities occasionally
Flight Effect: Enables flight
◆Frost Walk Effect: Turns water below into ice
Hunger Resistance Effect: Hunger effect will be removed
