What's new
NeoForge · Minecraft 26.3 · needs NeoForge 26.3.0.101+
- Fabric: Vine & Barrel runs on Fabric for Minecraft 26.3 too (Fabric Loader 0.20.1 and Fabric API 0.165.2 or newer), with all the same content, per-world server settings included. There, Farmer's Delight Refabricated takes the place of Farmer's Delight Neoforged.
- Twelve more languages: German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian, Turkish, Ukrainian and Simplified Chinese.
- New drinks: White Wine from white grapes (their own bush, wild where it's a little cooler, and a crate), Mead from honey bottles, and Hard Cider from Apple Juice without Farmer's Delight (FD's apple cider still makes the same cider). New advancements Mead Hall and Cider House; Vintner asks for white wine too.
- The grape blocks are called Red Grape Bush, Red Grape Vine, Wild Red Grapes and Red Grape Crate, next to the white ones. Barley Ale is called Pale Ale (Aged Pale Ale). Existing items keep working.
- The Trellis (five sticks make four): put one above a grape or hop bush and the ripe bush climbs it, up to 3 blocks tall, fruiting all the way up, no Farmer's Delight needed. FD ropes work the same way. It holds water and burns like a ladder.
- Grape and hop bushes can be picked half-ripe, like sweet berries: fewer fruit, and the bush drops back a stage. Foxes pick half-ripe grapes too.
- Drink buffs last 45 s (young) and 90 s (aged), still level I and level II.
- Too drunk for buffs takes only the buffs your drinks gave: potions, beacons and golden apples stay as they were.
- Every juice lowers Tipsy by one, not just grape juice.
- Tipsy tidied up: hiccups in bouts from Tipsy II, Tipsy III is the best of the night (slurred chat, the most liquid courage, no Nausea yet), Tipsy IV the turn, and at Tipsy V your legs give way: you drift, stumble and now and then trip flat on your face (it never hurts). The effect's tooltip shows the courage in numbers. Client option
wobbleIntensity0 keeps your screen still entirely (Nausea spells and other players' sway included), and vanilla's Distortion Effects, FOV Effects and Darkness Pulsing sliders tone Tipsy down too. - Blackouts: you keel over with stars circling your head and wake up in one of eight places (your own bed, out in the open, a farmyard, the hay, a tavern, someone else's bed, a roof, a boat) or right where you fell. Advancement Lost Weekend for finding them all. Home is never more than 128 blocks away, so a blackout is no way to travel. Blacked out, mobs, players and falls can't hurt you; everything else still can.
- At Tipsy V you hear your own heart (client option
heartbeatVolume, 0 turns it off), and waking up sounds like where you are. - Server options:
rowdystill turns Rowdy off entirely; the newrowdyPunchesandcutOffturn off just the punches or just being cut off at the bar. - Drinks sound like what they're in: mugs deeper than wine glasses, glasses ring and mugs clunk when you cheer, a cork pops when a barrel ages, the airlock bubbles, pours sound like the drink, the tap pours a short stream, and a full drink knocked off a table spills.
- Drinks can stand under water, and breaking them in creative drops nothing.
- The Brew Kettle steams in soft wisps, out of the open pot or curling from under the lid, only while it holds a brew or a batch that brews. Campfire smoke no longer comes up through it (signal fires keep their column).
- A settings screen: the Config button in the mod list on NeoForge, and in Mod Menu on Fabric.
- Village taverns rebuilt, two layouts per village type: a roomy hall with the bar, stairs behind the bar down to a vaulted barrel cellar, and a feature of their own (a beer garden, a roof terrace, a veranda bar, a hearth room, a mead hall). No two are the same: casks, drinks, flowers, banners and candles change from tavern to tavern. About one village in three has one. Villages laid out before the update finish their old taverns as they were.
- More with Farmer's Delight: Coq au Vin, a feast in its iron pot that serves four bowls; Cider-Braised Pork, Barley Mutton Broth and White Wine Risotto from the cooking pot; Beer Bread from wheat and beer; and FD's knife cuts straw from ripe barley and, on the cutting board, from wild barley. Every cooking pot meal shows up in the pot's recipe book.
- Without Farmer's Delight, its meals, the feast, beer bread and melon wine are hidden from the creative tab and JEI.
- Wild barley always drops a barley along with its seed, so one patch makes a wort. Farmers pick up the barley they harvest.
- The Brew Kettle's heat icon names what heats it, and its arrow greys out while the ingredients in it make nothing.
- The mug recipe unlocks once you have glass; the Aging Barrel recipe unlocks with any of the seven bases.
- Fixes: a broken barrel you filled yourself still earns Patience Pays once you place it again and tap it aged; rain and snow stop on crates, Aging Barrels and Brew Kettles; a cheers adds no buff time to a drink that gave no buff; JEI no longer offers a bucket for Farmer's Delight's bottles; breaking a vine on a rope plays its sound and particles once; a barrel first filled with a renamed bottle takes plain bottles of the same base.
