This mod is still in beta! so I apologize for any issues or seemingly unpolished content.
Vermin are creatures of another world, hiding among creatures and monsters alike. At first they appear as normal, acting normal, but once slain they have a chance to reveal their true form, a filthy insectoid creature, arthropod like in nature, its best to kill these nasty things before they eat your entire farm...
Vermin only spawn under select conditions! For one if a creature is on the forge tag named "safe" and has less than 10 health, a vermin cannot spawn from them! Another condition is a player must have the "acquired hardware" advancement to allow for easier early game.
Vermin drop a variety of useful materials that can be crafted into 2 new tools:
The Gnasher: A sword equal to iron in strength, it has the ability to restore small amount of hunger on hit.
Wieldy parasite [W.I.P]: A parasite that once activated, sprouts dozens of tentacles to protect the player, including giving them absorption hearts. Unlike shields however it relies on a biomass bar, and once depleted it must be fed with either disgusting broth or vermin ootheca.
If you get annoyed by vermin killing farm animals the gamerule "Do vermin feast" can be set to FALSE
