(inspired by the Evil Eye mod for Forge 1.20.1)

 

  A lightweight NeoForge server utility mod for Minecraft 1.21.1 that changes how EvilCraft Vengeance Spirits are allowed to spawn.  This mod adds configurable spawn checks so their appearance can be gated behind specific items or the Vengeance Curse enchantment.

  • Prevents Vengeance Spirits from spawning unless a nearby player meets at least one allowed condition.
  • Configurable detection radius (default: 32).
  • Configurable held item (main-hand and off-hand) allow-list (default: evilcraft:vengeance_ring).
  • Configurable support for checking for the Vengeance Curse enchantment on any held (main-hand and off-hand) item (default: true).
  • Detects Spectral Glasses equipped on the head slot.
  • Configurable detection for Vengeance Ring on the Curios ring slot (new in update 1.0.2).
  • (even more) Lightweight and performance-friendly (with update 1.0.2).

  This mod only changes Vengeance Spirit spawn checks. It does not alter EvilCraft items, recipes, progression, or balance outside of spawn conditions.
