Universal Upgrade Smithing Templates automatically generates smithing upgrade recipes for any mod item in your game.
How It Works The mod scans all registered items and generates upgrade recipes based on material naming patterns. It supports both <material>_<item> (like iron_sword) and <item>_<material> (like sword_iron) conventions. No configuration needed — it just works.
Upgrade Chain
- Wooden → Stone → Iron → Gold → Diamond → Netherite
- Leather → Iron → Gold → Diamond → Netherite
- Chainmail → Gold → Diamond → Netherite
Full Mod Support Works seamlessly with Simply Swords, Sophisticated Backpacks, Gliders, and any other mod that follows standard Minecraft naming conventions. The mod automatically detects compatible items and generates recipes on world load.
Obtaining Templates Templates are found in loot chests across Minecraft:
- Common: Dungeons, pyramids, villages, mineshafts
- Uncommon: Strongholds, shipwrecks, buried treasure
- Rare: Woodland mansion, nether fortresses, bastions
- Very Rare: End cities, ancient cities
No Conflicts The mod never overwrites existing recipes and works alongside any other smithing mod. Perfect for modpacks.
