Curse Maven Snippet
v1.1.0-beta.1 is a major content update. Blood moon nights, elite champion mobs, biome and structure danger zones, environmental pressure, and multiplayer scaling all make the world feel distinctly more hostile as your difficulty climbs.
Added
- Blood moon nights — on certain nights the moon runs red, bringing stronger, more numerous enemies until dawn.
- Elite champion mobs — rare variants with dangerous affixes that hit harder and demand more from you to bring down.
- Biome threat offsets — some biomes are inherently more deadly, raising the effective threat level of everything that spawns in them.
- Structure danger zones — threat levels are boosted inside structures, making dungeons and ruins appropriately lethal.
- Environmental pressure — higher-tier players face oppressive conditions; oppressive nights now have mechanical weight, with mob senses sharpened after dark.
- Pack tactics and shared aggro — higher-tier mobs coordinate attacks and alert nearby allies when you're spotted.
- Multiplayer group scaling — enemy health scales with the number of nearby players, keeping group play challenging.
- Offline level decay — an optional setting that gradually reduces your difficulty level while you are logged off.
- Ascendant Shard — a new item that lets you voluntarily raise your own difficulty level.
- Config tooltips — every entry on the config screen now shows a tooltip explaining what it does.
- In-game teaching moments — short hints introduce key mechanics when you first join a world and again when you reach your first tier.
- Death relief feedback — an action bar message and HUD animation now play when death relief activates, so you always know it triggered.
- Server config sync — servers push their configuration to connecting clients automatically, with a local-file fallback if the server is unavailable.
- Richer item tooltips — Tribulation item details now appear on standard item tooltips, not only inside recipe viewers.
- Meridian compatibility — when Meridian is installed, scaled mob equipment draws from Meridian's loot table and the soulbound tag (
#c:soulbound) is respected.
Fixed
/tribulationcommand messages now display in the player's own language.- HUD position offsets are properly clamped so out-of-range config values can no longer push the HUD off screen.
- HUD sprites no longer disappear when ImmediatelyFast or Blur+ are installed alongside Tribulation.
- Night darkness no longer produces a rendering glitch when the pressure value is uninitialized.
- Player data is validated and clamped on load, so corrupted or externally modified saves can no longer cause unexpected behavior.
- Threat particles are now lighter on performance — particles outside your view cone are skipped and there is a per-tick spawn cap.
