Description
This mod displays the path that will be taken by a projectile, so you can see where it will go before you shoot it. It will automatically detect the item you are holding, and if it is a ranged item the predicted trajectory will be drawn on the screen. Since this is a visual feature, the mod is only required on the client. It can be installed on a server, but it will do nothing there.
Currently works with:
- Vanilla Minecraft: bow and arrow, snowball, egg, ender pearl, splash and lingering potions, and fishing rods
- Tinkers' Construct: shortbow, longbow, crossbow, shuriken, EFLN, and glowball. Properly accounts for hovering and endspeed ammo
- CoFH mods: reinforced bows and flux-infused bow
- TF2 Stuff: various projectile weapons (the ones that launch an entity, not the hitscan ones) including sticky bomb launchers, flamethrowers, syringe gun, etc
Known problems:
- Many projectiles have slightly random starting velocity, so they will not precisely follow the displayed path. Nonrandom ones include Tinkers' crossbows and shurikens
- The trajectory prediction always uses air's drag number. If the projectile enters water, the prediction is no longer accurate after that point
- Only items in main hand are detected
