0.4.2 - Bug Fixes

No new features this time, just some fixes for some mistakes that were made!

Important new gameplay changes: Thirst no longer damages your villagers. This was causing havoc and killing way too many villagers, so this has been disabled. In future updates, there will be some kind of effect to make sure you keep your villagers well hydrated, but we are not there yet.

Second important one: Complete exhaustion of energy will no longer drop your villager on the ground, and is now recoverable after a few minutes. They will instead have smoke coming out of them to indicate that they've collapsed. If you want to speed this up though, and you've got coffee, caffeinate them up.

Bug Fixes

  • Cooks standing near stoves in some circumstances will no longer crash servers
  • Villagers will now look further for food and drinks, and will take into account blocked paths
  • Vending machines, and other things that seem like protected blocks, will not be considered when looking for food or drinks since they require operation
  • Walking on stoves is now forbidden
  • Extremely tired villagers will stop what they're doing and look for a bed, any bed, to sleep
  • Cooks will mention what type of station they're unable to cook at (even more refinement coming for this)
  • Some performance optimizations

Thank you for all your patience and support, for everyone on the Discord being great and bringing in great ideas and energy, and thank you particularly to Tech Priest for helping a lot with testing!
