0.3.0 - Stay hydrated!
The villagers could eat, but now they can also drink and be merry (if their mood is high enough!) In this update, you have two new mechanics to try out: Thirst and the Barista.
If you have Thirst Was Taken installed (thank you mlus, ghenghen_ and mrdrip404!), your villagers will now have a new Thirst meter and will need to drink water, preferably purified water, to quench their thirst. As they move about they will dehydrate (and this is worse in hotter climates), and will reach for anything that can quench their thirst, whether that be water (of varying quality, prefering more purified ones), or foods that are watery. That means if you pair this with Farmer's Delight, soups will also quench their thirst. Cooks will also purify water as part of their work shift, freeing you from having to produce all the purified water for a growing village.
But if you're looking for something even fancier, by installing Rustic Delight (thank you PhantomWing!) you will unlock the Barista profession and the ability to build a Cafe. The Cafe, like the Kitchen, has five tiers, opening more stations and unlocking more advanced recipes (speaking of recipes, out of the box the cooks will now support Farmer's Delight extensions automatically, expanding your cook's repertoire.) When you have baristas working in your cafe, the cooks will leave the drink-making to them and focus on the food. Baristas will roast beans, make coffees, and purify water. If you have both Rustic Delight and Thirst Was Taken installed, the Rustic Delight drinks will have thirst effects automatically added to them, unless you happen to have your own settings. And who knows, maybe in a future update, the cafes will be a hot hangout spot to socialize, depending on your villagers' personalities.

So, have yourself a nice cup of coffee, enjoy, and remember to stay hydrated!
