A QOL that enhances Minecraft tooltips

Description

Overview

This POE-inspired mod improves how tooltips work in Minecraft, making it easier to read, compare, and understand item information. It is designed to help players who want more control over tooltips and who may encounter unfamiliar terms or descriptions while playing.

Features

πŸ“Œ Tooltip Pinning

By holding the Alt key, you can temporarily pin a tooltip. While pinned, the tooltip will stay on screen even if you move your mouse away from the item.

Releasing the Alt key will clear the pinned tooltip.

If you press the middle mouse button while a tooltip is temporarily pinned, it will be pinned to the screen. Pinned tooltips can be freely moved, allowing you to place them wherever you like for easier comparison or reference. The pinned Tooltips can be removed by middle click or right click.

πŸ“– Tooltip Enlightenment

This feature allows tooltips to include extra explanations for specific text.

Through language files, additional descriptions can be added to terms that players may not be familiar with. When used together with tooltip pinning, players can keep the tooltip on screen and read these explanations at their own pace, without needing to look things up elsewhere.

This makes learning new mechanics, stats, or concepts more comfortable and less disruptive to gameplay.

To add Enlightenment to your Tooltips, simply use the specific marker to mark the text, and give it a term:

The first line is the original lang line, the second one is the marked one. Texts inside the []("Gear Defense" in this case) are the texts actually shown in the game, the texts inside the ()("defences" in this case) are the term you wanna give to the shown text. The third line is the corresponding term line; the key always starts with "enlighten.term.", followed by the term name ("enlighten.term.defences" in this case).
