  • Firstly thank you all for the amazing feedback on The Nightwarden! As my first attempt at designing a boss, I'm thrilled that so many of you enjoyed the fight! Many players struggled with key mechanics—so there's a wiki page in my discord with Nightwarden's info, mechanics, and player tips. Be sure to check it out if you are having problems.

Nightwarden Improvements:

  • New Behavior (Mob Battle Mode): Now uses full adaptation mechanics to adapt to any damage type instead of applying a flat damage cap
  • Blazing Brand can now be applied to Nightwarden
  • Shear of the Stars attack positioning bug fixed
  • Dragon Spirit travel speed: 0.25 -> 0.3
  • Phase 1 change: Nightwarden now summons Void Tomes directly instead of spawning Voidshelf Golems, with slightly reduced cooldown. (Golems were cluttering the fight and making it unfun for most people)
  • Phase 2 to 3: Added telegraphed warning particle animation to show Supernova attack radius
  • Adjusted a few sound volume levels on Nightwarden
  • Added more tips to Excrucis to clarify internal Nightwarden mechanics
  • Removed line-of-sight (LOS) check when activating the boss via the statue
  • Potential fix for occasional crash on Nightwarden activation and server-side kick during Spin attack
  • Void Tomes should no longer be damaged by Nightwarden

Compatibility and General:

  • Optional Compat: Alshanex's Familiars' Sound school damage can now affect Nightwarden
  • Reminder to addon/modpack devs: You can add your custom damage type to the Nightwarden adaptation tag (nightwarden_can_adapt). Check base implementation or ask on Discord for help.
  • Added Better Combat integration for Stellothorn and Wand Of The Final Light
  • Update & added Chinese, Korean, Japanese translations
  • Aqua Missiles: Nerf reverted
