Update v4.0.2 - hotfix:

 

  • Aerial Collapse Rework:

    • Cast type changed from INSTANTLONG.
    • Can now be targeted at an entity, performing the action from that location.
    • Now has a 0.5s wind-up time
    • Physically lifts the caster upwards to create distance from melee threats.
    • Damage is now capped at 50% of max health
    • Added new visual effects
  • Balance Adjustments:

    • Reversal multiplier: 3.0x → 1.75x.
    • Scourge of the Sands:
      • Fixed Desert Stele entity damage.
      • Added visual effects when charging.
      • Now plays an audio cue when fully charged.
  • Entity Adjustments:

    • Added Tongbi, The Sculptor (from Mowzie’s Mobs) to the Spectral Shift blacklist.
      (You can submit more boss mob IDs to be added to the blacklist for the base mod, or configure it yourself using entity tags with a datapack.)

Dev Comment:
Aerial Collapse felt too oppressive in PvP due to its instant cast and ability to affect entities through walls. Requiring a target now adds a layer of balance since you need an entity to cast it on. The 0.5s wind-up introduces potential counter-play, while the caster lift helps reposition against melee-based threats—though it does come with a small amount of fall damage. The 50% damage cap ensures it remains effective against high-HP pool targets but not overwhelmingly strong against bosses.

Scourge of the Sands is one of the mod’s earliest weapons, and it lacked proper sound effects and VFX. While I’ve added some improvements, a full rework is coming soon to bring it more in line with other weapons.

Spell Adjustments (Some requires ISS server config reset):

  • Extinction Spell:

    • Base Eruption DoT Damage: 5 → 5.5
  • Abyssal Blast Spell:
    • Mana Cost: 400 → 350
  • Vortex Uppercut:
    • Now uninterruptible
    • Cooldown: 15s → 18s
  • Meteor Storm Spell:
    • Rarity Uncommon → Epic (Harder to obtain early game)
  • Weapon-Specific Spells:
    • Now have extra tooltip descriptions clarifying they can only be cast from specific weapons
  • Aerial Collapse:
    • Possibly fixed failing to apply damage in normal conditions.

Gameplay Adjustments:

  • Augments:
    • Drop-rate heavily nerfed from Deepling Brute & Warlock (Farming was too easy)
    • System Update:
      • Augments no longer have separate config values for each rarity (Handled automatically)
      • New Scaling Formula:
        • Mythic: 1.0, Legendary: 0.75, Epic: 0.5
        • (Putting a Mythic value in config will auto-adjust the others)
      • Wild Augments discontinued (While the remaining Wild Augments will stay, new ones will not get added and those will not get ported to mod's 1.21 version)
  • Shifted Echos to Augments creative tab
  • Renamed "Augments" creative tab → "Other Curios"

Bug Fixes & Optimizations:

  • Fixed:
    • Summon spells no longer allow duplicate casting when an active summon exists
    • Guide sentences for Gauntlet of Extinction & Mechanized Wraithblade corrected
    • Call Forth The Dead King Scroll now has a tooltip explaining it must be cast from the scroll
  • Optimized event handlers for better performance
  • A new mod incompatibility checker added
