Description
TickTact is a performance mod for Minecraft servers and singleplayer that improves performance by keeping TPS stable and MSPT low, reducing lag without breaking gameplay.

MSPT (milliseconds per tick) is how long one server tick takes. To keep 20 TPS, a tick must finish in under 50 ms.
When MSPT goes above 50 ms, you get lag: delays, slow mob AI, redstone feeling “late”, and rubber-banding.
TickTact reduces how much work the server does each tick without breaking gameplay. Near players, things update normally so everything feels smooth. Far from players, updates happen less often to save CPU. If the server starts struggling, TickTact automatically becomes more strict to prevent big spikes, but it never freezes things forever: throttled mobs, farms, and machines still progress over time.
Works with both entities (mobs, animals, etc.) and block entities (machines, hoppers, chests, farms, redstone, modded blocks).
Best for:
- Servers or modpacks with lots of machines, farms, and big bases
- Singleplayer too (it still runs an internal server)
