World Generation Changes

  • Otherworld land and biomes are now scaled up to be larger.
  • Added more transition biomes:
    • Mystrose Forest - (Between Roseia and Enchantia)
    • Icy Glades - (Between Roseia and Glaceia)
    • Frosted Marsh - (Between Glaceia and Oasia)
    • Ash Fields - (Between Emberia and Oasia)
  • Cave Biomes now generate below Y 50:
    • Deepcaves - (Below Deepwoods)
    • Majia Caves - (Below Enchantia)
    • Rose Quartz Caves - (Below Roseia)
    • Muddy Caves - (Below Oasia)
    • Frozen Cavern - (Below Glaceia)
    • Burning Cavern - (Below Emberia)
  • Important ores (Iron, Rosegold, Opal, Topaz, Sapphire) now only generate in the Cave Biomes (below Y 50).

Structure Changes and Additions

  • Travelers from all races now spawn in the Otherworld in solo campsites.
  • Humans can now spawn in traveler campsites scattered across the Overworld.
  • Outposts now spawn Criminal Npcs in the jail cells.
  • Otheran Structure Types can now specify an optional field npc_occupation_on_spawn through the structure json file.

Texture and Rendering Changes

  • Roseian textures and rendering has been modified to give them crystal-like hair with a minor glow.
  • Fairian eyes now have a minor glow to match Roseian eyes.
  • Added more occupation-based clothing layers for Players and Npcs.

Power Changes

  • Oni race now has natural immunity from thorns and berry bushes.

Special Abilities

  • Players now have their own special abilities that can be triggered with the "z" key.
  • Special abilities are race-specific:
    • Onis give themselves strength and resistance buffs.
    • Roseians spawn a healing effect cloud that can not only heal themselves and others, but damage undead around them.
    • Fairies cast magic spells on themselves, including levitation, fire resistance if on fire, Conduit power if underwater, and battle-specific effects when in combat. Fairies can also enchant held items without needing an enchanting table.
    • Emberians can ignite everything around them in a small radius, setting everything on fire, including the entities around them.
    • Iceians can freeze everything around them in a small radius, including all entities around them, and turning water into temporary ice.
    • Humans have no special abilities and are completely useless lol.
  • Drains an experience level when used and has a cooldown.
  • The special abilities are powerful and can help players in a pinch.

Entity Additions, Fixes, and Changes

  • Grizzlies can now be tamed as babies, be ridden with a saddle, and can wear special armor!
  • Zombified versions of Npcs now spawn in the cave regions of the Otherworld. They can be healed like a regular Zombie Villager.
  • Zombified Humans have a configurable chance of spawning in place of a regular zombie.
  • Regular Npcs can be infected by zombies as a configurable chance. Reverts back to normal when cured.
  • Magma Cubes now spawn in the Burning Cavern biome.
  • Snowpakas will no longer shiver when punched by an Iceian.
  • Goateers, Feral Wolves, and Grizzlies no longer take berry bush and thorn damage.
  • Whisps now give players a random beneficial mob effect when caught.
  • Changed Crystling to "Otherling" and now spawn with different variants that are biome dependent.

Item and Block Additions and Changes

  • The Orb of Destiny can now be obtained in survival through crafting.

New Blocks:

  • Mulberry Cake

Ollama AI Changes

  • Added AI Generated Quests!
    • Npcs of all occupations can be prompted into giving a player a quest.
    • AI Generated quests are specific to the Npc's race and occupation.
    • The Npc will assign items and entities, and give rewards based off their race's specific resources.
    • Behaves like any other coded quest.
  • Added more Dialogue prompts for player actions.
  • Modified prompts to tailor more to gemma models.
  • Optimized performance for the Ollama server during runtime.

Npc AI Changes

  • Fixed bugs with Npc targeting and combat.
  • Fixed other Npcs "stealing" crops when a Farmer Npc is harvesting.
  • Updated Npcs to defend family members (spouse and children) when they are attacked.
  • Added Criminal behaviors, including stealing from chests, fleeing from soldiers, and combat targeting.
  • Npc villagers now flee from enemy soldiers and criminals.
  • Npcs with wings no longer stay stuck on the treetops when they are targeting an entity for combat. They will (gracefully) fall down as long as they are at or above Y 90. (Don't want them to jump into the void lol)
  • Npcs now have a hoe added to their inventory (if they don't have one) when they become farmers.

Server Event Changes

  • Criminal Npcs can spawn near a player in the Otherworld after a certain amount of time. Can be modified in server config.
  • Fixed War Event bugs and wonkiness.

GameRule Addition

  • Reset on Respawn: a type of hardcore challenge that reset's the player's character, clears inventory, and wipes all Npc interactions when the player dies and respawns. False by default.

Mod Compatibility

  • Added full support for Baby Players mod, including Npc interaction changes and baby-specific skins. (No bearded babies!)
  • Added dimension title support for Traveler's Titles mod.
  • Fixed incompatibility with Roamers mod.

Other Bug Fixes and Changes

  • Added Advancements!
  • Added more names for all races.
  • Choose Quest and Choose Bounty screens now display the reward items as actual items.
  • When a player is arrested, the Prison Timer no longer updates and is reset when a player escapes jail.
