The Dream Table

The Dream Table projects a classic redstone farm as a hologram, then builds it one block per second after you deliver the materials.

# The Dream Table 1.1.4-beta

This update is all about build time: you now choose how long a farm takes instead of a fixed speed, builds no longer stall on trips back to the table, and finished farms are safe from the next one.

## Build time instead of build speed
- The Options page (now called "Build Time") offers "Finish In About 10 Min", "5 Min" and "1 Min". The old 1, 2, 4 and 8 blocks per second options are gone.
- The table picks the speed from the farm's size, so small and large farms take about the same time. For example, the 2,500-block iron farm builds at about 5 blocks per second on 10 minutes, 9 on 5 minutes, and 42 on 1 minute.
- The speed is capped at 256 blocks per second, so even a 16,000-block schematic on the 1 minute pace stays smooth.
- Small farms never go below 1 block per second, so they may finish sooner than the chosen time.
- The default is 5 minutes. Tables that were set to a blocks-per-second speed switch to 5 minutes automatically.

## Faster, smoother building
- Blocks are now spread evenly over each second instead of all being placed at once every second, so fast paces don't cause lag spikes.
- The first block appears as soon as you press Build, instead of after a one-second wait.
- Blocks that are already in place are skipped instantly and don't count against the pace, so resuming or rebuilding a half-built farm is much quicker.
- At fast paces, each build plays at most one placing sound per tick, so it doesn't flood your ears.

## Builds continue on their own
- When a build is waiting for a missing block, delivering that block on the clipboard now continues the build right away. No more walking back to the table to press Continue.
- Delivering a different material doesn't restart it; the build only continues once the block it's waiting for is there.

## Time left
- While building or paused, the farm screen shows an estimate next to the progress, like "Building 120/2505 · ~4 min".
- Blocks already in place are skipped, so the build can finish sooner than shown.

## Finished farms stay protected
- Fixed: after a farm finished and you went back to the menu, another farm could be placed in the same spot and would break the first farm's blocks as it built.
- A finished farm now keeps its area even after you choose another farm, discard the project, or break the table. A new farm can't be placed over it: the hologram turns red and says a finished farm stands there.
- Builds never break blocks inside a finished farm's area.
- Once you take a finished farm down by hand (less than half of its blocks left), the area is free to build on again.

## Under the hood
- Added 32 automated tests covering build times, build progress and saving, delivered materials (including Creative deliveries and material swaps), block matching, and every bundled farm schematic. They run with every build to catch problems before a release.
