The Chuchoteur is a stalking entity capable of adapting its behavior at will.
It observes from a distance, remaining unseen while tracking the player’s movement and attention.
When the moment is right, it may stalk silently, strike without warning, vanish entirely, or manifest only to induce a sudden jumpscare.
Its actions are unpredictable by design.
The creature does not follow physical rules consistently.
It can disappear mid-observation, reappear behind the player, or interrupt perception with brief, violent manifestations meant to disorient rather than kill.
At some point in its presence, the sky itself changes.
The moon is no longer intact.
Fragments hang unnaturally in the night sky, frozen as if time refused to let them fall.
This event is not random, nor environmental.
It is a side effect of The Chuchoteur’s influence — a signal that it is no longer merely watching.
The destruction of the moon marks a phase shift.
After this point, the creature becomes more aggressive, more frequent, and less bound to hiding.
Nighttime becomes hostile. Silence becomes intentional.
The Chuchoteur does not announce its attacks.
It does not need to.
If it appears, it has already chosen an outcome.
