Description

This mod is intended to supplement Tetra.

It adds several new weapon types:

  • Javelins
  • Glaives
  • Long Spears
  • Khopeshes
  • Scimitars
  • Windlass-drawn Crossbows
  • Full Bow Crossbows
  • Short Limb Crossbows

It also adjusts some existing standards for base Tetra. Long handles are now an option for two-headed tools, and damage can be honed for both single-headed and two-headed tools, making them more practical as weapons. Honing options have been added for crossbows, giving them longer-term value. This mod additionally adjusts the material qualities of many standard Forge metals, as well as vanilla metals, to better reflect real-world properties of those metals. These adjustments don't strictly respect vanilla Minecraft logic (for example, gold is now simply a valuable enchanting bonus, rather than an inexplicably high-efficiency tool type), but to be fair, nobody fully comprehends Mojang's logic with a lot of things.

Many alloys have been added. Some are available without any additional mods. These "vanilla" alloys include:

  • Rose Gold
  • Bronnum
  • Blurine

They can be crafted by pounding metals into dust at a Tetra workbench (just put the desired ore or ingot into the workbench, as you would a geode), mixing those dusts at a crafting table, then smelting the resultant alloy dusts in a blast furnace. Rose Gold armor counts as "gold" where Piglins are concerned, and the headset for Rose Gold may be improved at a smithing table with a diamond to give it toughness, so that you have a valid and resilient gold armor that isn't feebly trying to excuse its own existence - it's useful even if Piglins aren't around. Bronnum is a redstone-based variant of vanilla "bronze", which serves to provide a bit of additional use from copper in case you don't have any other mods which add bronze. Blurine is a relatively heavier replacement for Netherite, made with glowstone, iron, and pulverized coal - it saves you from having to strip mine the Nether, in case you find that to be insanely boring and tedious.

Some alloys are also available by combining common Forge metals. These include:

  • White Gold
  • Culuminum
  • Marel

White Gold serves the same purpose as Rose Gold, except it's a lighter color and has a different aesthetic design. Culuminum is an advanced aluminum alloy, which is more durable than standard aluminum. Marel is essentially a high-carbon steel, also similar to Netherite in strength and resilience.

Ores supported by this mod or by Tetra natively can be turned to dust at a Tetra workbench if they were generated by All the Ores.

Materials from Alex's Mobs are given Tetra support.

Materials from Biomes O Plenty are given Tetra support.

Materials from Deeper And Darker are given Tetra support.

Materials from Endless Biomes are given Tetra support.

Materials from Mutant Monsters are given Tetra support.

Materials from Mystic's Biomes are given Tetra support.

Materials from Regions Unexplored are given Tetra support.

Materials from RPG Style More Weapons are given Tetra support.

Materials from The Aether are given Tetra support.

Dark Iron from The Graveyard is supported as a Tetra material - it does some bonus damage to living targets. Corruption from this mod may be applied to steel to make steel with anti-living properties.

Materials from The Undergarden are given Tetra support. Auggrum can be made as an alloy from gold and cloggrum. It's Netherite tier, and Piglins respect it as a form of gold, causing them to be non-hostile if wearing such armor.

This mod provides in-depth support for Twilight Forest, offering two unique alloys and Tetra compatibility for most materials in that mod.

Tags have been added to provide better compatibility with Vivecraft.

Unique drops have been added to the Warden and Elder Guardians:

  • Dooferfish Scales
  • Darkbottom Bones

Dooferfish scales are dropped by the fattest Dooferfishes (officially named Elder Guardians by the developers), which lay patiently within empty rooms for any prey or adventurer foolish enough to go inside an ocean monument, or to inflict a mining debuff on passing boats. Armor made from the Dooferfish scale dramatically increases swimming speed and permits perpetual water breathing (after taking damage from any source)!

Darkbottom Bones are dropped by the mighty Darkbottom Zombie (typically called the Warden in official works). It rises from the ground to punish you for just kind of doing stuff around the empty mold zones, and if it can't walk in a straight line directly to you, it kills you with an un-dodgeable, un-blockable, long-range beam attack that passes through walls. Armor made from the skeleton of this very cool and well-designed monster which my five year-old adores will afflict attacking mobs with the Glowing status, which allows you to see their outline wherever they wind up going afterward.
