What's new
Termal Astra 2.1.7 — Minecraft 1.21.1 (NeoForge)
⭐ Highlight: one Arcane Interface for a whole wall of furnaces
The Arcane Interface now uses every furnace, blast furnace, smoker and stonecutter in a 15×15×15 area around it, and modded machines of the type chosen in each pattern. No more one Interface per machine.
This update also gives the Redstone Transmitter four modes (Repeater, Button, Lever and Timer) with its own screen, and new 3D models for both blocks. Update the server and the players together.
🔮 Arcane Interface: 15×15×15 area
- The Interface uses the machines in a 15×15×15 cube around it (7 blocks each way): furnaces, blast furnaces, smokers and stonecutters join on their own. Machines touching its faces work as before.
- Modded machines join through the pattern. Patterns now remember the machine block: choose it in the square above the arrow (click with the machine block in hand, drag it from JEI, or click with an empty hand to cycle through nearby machines). The Interface then uses every machine of that type in the area, so different machine types can share one Interface.
- No duplicates: if two Interfaces of the same network see the same machine, it counts only once, both in the Terminal's Machines panel and in orders. It stays with the nearest Interface (a touching one always wins).
- Chests never join, and the Interface only takes machines that the player who placed it is allowed to use (land claims are respected).
- New screen layout: the Machines section shows each machine type with its count (a purple corner means it comes from the area), and its last square turns the area on and off.
- Astral Helmet: shows the area outline and purple wires to every machine the Interface uses.
- 3D model: a cage with a port on every face, purple glyphs, crystal teeth that light up with Fogux and a purple core spinning inside. With the area on, a golden ring spins vertically around it.
- ⚠️ Interfaces already in your world keep using only their faces (the area starts off for them), so they never grab a furnace by surprise. Turn it on in their screen.
🔴 Redstone Transmitter: four modes and a screen
- Shift+right-click the Transmitter to open its new screen and pick a mode:
- Repeater: repeats the redstone signal reaching the block (the old behavior — existing Transmitters stay like this);
- Button: clicking the block sends one pulse;
- Lever: clicking the block turns the signal on and off;
- Timer: sends a pulse every interval; a redstone signal next to it pauses the timer.
- On the screen you set the signal strength (1 to 15), the pulse length and the interval, and a status line tells you what is being sent and to how many Receivers.
- 3D model with the mode's control on top: an antenna, a button that sinks when pressed, a lever that flips or a clock whose hand turns. Clicking it gives redstone sparks and the button/lever sound.
- The Redstone Receiver now uses the Transmitter's old art, so the two are easy to tell apart.
📖 Guide book
- The Arcane Interface and Wireless Redstone entries explain the area and the new modes.
Also in this update: everything from 2.1.6
2.1.6 was not released on its own, so this version also brings the new screens, the 3D machines, the Industrial Breaker's tool slots and the fixes below.
⭐ A whole new look
Every screen of the mod was redesigned with its own purple-and-orange theme, and 10 blocks became animated 3D models: the Astra Network, the Industrial Breaker, the Auto-Builder, the Matter Forge, the Magic Library, both Astral Hoppers and the Super Logistic Router.
🎨 New screens
- All 16 screens were redesigned with their own theme: purple panels with orange trim, sunken slots, raised buttons with shadows, and energy bars with an icon and a glow (Aguix blue, Fogux red, XP green, lava orange).
- Slots tell you what they are for: upgrade, filter, tool and output slots have their own frames, and empty slots show a ghost icon of what fits there.
- Status lines tell you why a machine stopped: "No blocks", "No Fogux", "The front is blocked", "Protected area", "Ready to clone", "Insert a tool with Mending"…
- Tooltips on almost every button, bar and slot.
- Terminal: the "+" on craftable items is now purple (crafting table) or orange (made by the network's machines).
- JEI no longer covers the side panels of the Astra Vault, the Magic Collector, the Router and the Terminal.
🧱 Machines in 3D
- Industrial Breaker: a cabinet with the tool on display inside; the tool swings every time a block breaks.
- Auto-Builder: shows the block it will place and gives a little push for each block placed.
- Matter Forge: the mold's ore floats and spins above an altar, fed by a Fogux beam and an Aguix beam from two crystals, and it flashes on every copy.
- Magic Library: a bookshelf with a book that opens, flips its pages and floats above the top.
- Astral Hopper and Advanced Astral Hopper: a real hopper shape (the hitbox too) with a spinning ring. The Advanced one spins the other way, faster.
- Super Logistic Router: a crystal spins inside the cage and pulses when it sends items. The 8 lights on top show each channel: green = on with a target, yellow = on without a target, off = disabled.
- Astra Network: the Astra Observer is now an armored console with a recessed screen and a lens on top; the Storage Visualizer has glyphs that light up one by one and an eye that floats and follows you; the Vision Transmitter is an obelisk with a floating crystal and two orbiting rings (with a saved Quantum Link Card, the card shows in the cradle and runes fly into the crystal).
- Shadows: the models have contact shadows on the ground, and the floating parts (eye, crystals, book, ore) cast their own shadow.
⚡ Energy at a glance
- Machines that use Aguix light up blue details, machines that use Fogux light up red details, and machines that use both light up both. With no energy, the details stay dark.
⬆️ Standardized upgrades
- All 19 upgrades got new icons in one style: a dark runic plate with circuit traces. The emblem color tells the family (slots, capacity, wireless, void, compression, autocrafting, collector, forge) and the frame metal tells the tier (copper, iron, gold, diamond, netherite).
🔨 Industrial Breaker: the right tool for every block
- 4 tool slots: pickaxe, axe, shovel, hoe, shears or sword (tools from other mods too). The machine picks the right one for the block in front.
- Works like a player: logs need an axe, dirt a shovel, stone a pickaxe, leaves a hoe or shears. Sugar cane, crops, flowers, saplings and cactus still break with any tool, and blocks that break instantly don't wear the tool down.
- Whole trees: with an axe it fells the entire tree at once (up to 256 logs) and the drops land in front of the machine. Only trees with natural leaves are felled, so log houses are never eaten. There is a button to turn it on and off.
- Breakers already in your world keep their pickaxe and get the new slots.
🔴 Redstone links on the Astral Helmet
- The line between a Redstone Transmitter and its Receivers now looks like redstone dust: dark red with no signal, bright red with a strong signal, and bright pulses running from the transmitter to the receiver. It's easy to tell apart from the Fogux and Aguix flames.
🔧 Fixes
- Redstone Receivers turn off when their Transmitter is broken. They used to stay powered forever.
- A Receiver linked with the Astra Connection Ring gets the signal right away. Before, it only updated on the next signal change.
- Breaking an Advanced Astral Hopper drops its filter items. They used to disappear.
- The Auto-Builder places blocks on grass, flowers and other replaceable plants, like a player, and its screen says why it stopped.
- Hoppers and extractors no longer load chunks when looking for inventories at the edge of the loaded world.
- The guide book was updated with all of the above.
- Shift+clique no Transmissor abre a tela nova, onde você escolhe o modo:
- Repetidor: repete o sinal de redstone que chega no bloco (o jeito antigo — os Transmissores que já existem continuam assim);
- Botão: clique no bloco manda um pulso;
- Alavanca: clique no bloco liga e desliga o sinal;
⬆️ Melhorias padronizadas
