# Tempest Almanac: changelog since 0.10.1
Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge 21.1.250 or newer. Install on both the client and the server.
Worlds from 0.10.1 load unchanged: the saved weather data did not change, and the only new data are the blocks and the pendant.
Config files are not rewritten; new keys appear with their defaults the first time the game starts.
## 0.14.1
- Balance pass. A report of the shipped numbers showed that **ley dust, not meteors, limits Astral Cores**: a ley surge gives about 7 to 9 dust (3 to 4 cores), a meteor shower leaves 10 to 16 cores' worth of ingots. The numbers stay, and they are all in the config.
- Checked: at the default settings the pendant stays below `boonCap`, even together with an aurora, a ley surge or a magic storm.
- New texts for the store pages (description, summary).
## 0.14.0: integrations and milestones
- **Spell Atlas:** time spent walking inside a linked pylon field earns Arcane Points and nature affinity. The default is 5 points and 10 affinity every 20 minutes, at most twice a day. You must keep moving (32 blocks in the window), so standing still earns nothing, and leaving the field starts the count again. Config: `atlasAttuneMinutes`, `atlasAttunePoints`, `atlasAttuneAffinity`, `atlasAttuneDailyMax`.
- **Spell Atlas guide:** four more pages in English and Polish (Ley Line Pylon, Ley Line Conduit, Ley-Linked Pendant, ley networks).
- **Artificer's Almanac:** the Astral Core is a staff and armour core material (more maximum mana and mana regeneration), through a data file. No change to the Almanac was needed.
- **Elemental Motes:** a strong pylon field draws aether motes to you (air motes in a magic storm). Config: `pylonAttractsMotes`, on by default.
- **Quintessence:** counts as a mana mod, so pylons, conduits and the pendant are offered with it. The pendant's bonus lines already list its mana attributes.
- **Five new advancements:** first pylon, first conduit, a linked pendant, a full network (a pylon with 4 conduits) and an hour attuned. They are hidden without a mana mod.
## 0.13.0: the Ley-Linked Pendant
- **Ley-Linked Pendant:** a necklace for the Curios slot. Right-click a pylon or a conduit to link it to that network (up to 3 networks, `pendantLinkLimit`). Sneak and right-click in the air clears the links. The tooltip lists each link and whether it is active.
- **What it gives:** inside a linked field, more maximum mana and faster mana regeneration. At full strength that is +35% maximum mana and +75% regeneration for Iron's Spells, and the same lines for Quintessence. The strongest linked field counts, and every further linked field that covers you adds a little. The cap for the wearer is 1.25. All of it is the config list `pendantBoons`.
- **One cap for everything:** the pendant's bonus joins the phenomena's bonuses in one place, with one modifier per attribute and one limit, `boonCap` (+150% by default). The pendant, an aurora and a ley surge together can never run away.
- **Only one pendant counts:** wearing several does not add up.
- **Players get the necklace slot** from Tempest, so it works with Curios alone (Iron's Spells already does this).
- Fixed along the way: a pendant that was taken off could still be counted, and a pylon placed by a command in the same tick did not register until the next one.
## 0.12.0: Ley Line Pylon and Ley Line Conduit
Both need Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks or Quintessence, and are hidden without one. Overworld only; nothing here changes the world around it.
- **Ley Line Pylon:** a floating crystal on a base. It draws a field of about 24 blocks (`pylonRadius`) from the ley lines. It is strongest on a line and half as strong 16 or more blocks from one, and the field fades out over its outer quarter instead of ending sharply. A ley surge makes it 25% stronger.
- **Ley Line Conduit:** it links to the nearest pylon (or conduit) within 20 blocks by itself and stretches the field (radius 16). A pylon takes up to 4 conduits; a fifth is not linked, and says so. If a pylon is broken, its conduits go quiet until they can link again.
- **Pylons in a ley surge:** within 6 blocks of an active pylon you count as standing on a ley line, so a base gets the surge's strength, speed, haste and mana bonuses without walking out to a line (`pylonCountsAsLine`).
- **Right-click** a pylon or a conduit with an empty hand to read its strength, its distance from a line and its conduits.
- **Sharing:** by default anyone can link a pendant to any pylon. `pylonShare = OWNER` limits it to the player who placed it.
- **Look and sound:** a glowing crystal, a beam into the sky (checked with Iris and Complementary Reimagined), motes, link twinkles and a soft hum. All of it follows the strength of the field.
- New config: `pylonRadius`, `conduitRadius`, `maxConduits`, `conduitLinkRange`, `pylonSurgeBoost`, `pylonCountsAsLine`, `pylonShare`.
## 0.11.0: the meteorite chain
Meteorite fragments were only keepsakes. Now they are a way to a new metal. These three items always exist, with or without a mana mod.
- **Starforge Alloy:** 2 Meteorite Fragments, 1 Copper Ingot and 1 Iron Nugget (shapeless).
- **Meteorite Ingot:** smelt the alloy in a furnace or blast furnace. A glowing copper metal, not to be confused with astralite.
- **Astral Core:** 2 Meteorite Ingots, 1 Astralite Ingot and 2 Ley Dust. The one item that needs meteors, craters and ley lines together. It is also the heart of the pylon, the conduit and the pendant.
- Item tags `tempest_almanac:meteorite_ingots` and `tempest_almanac:astral_cores` for pack makers.
- Three advancements, and a "meteorite chain" page in the Spell Atlas guide.
