What's new

[TaCZ] Weapon Research & Blueprints 1.3.2

Choose how your server researches weapons: use tiered stations, keep one Analyzer and one Research Bench, or open research anywhere through a keybind. This release also fixes a startup crash in the packaged 1.3.1 mod.

Highlights

  • Stations & Research Access: Find the common station choices together near the top of the server settings. Operators choose the rules for all players.
  • Single or tiered Analyzers: Single Analyzer mode lets the basic station handle every weapon tier, using each weapon's same-tier reward rules. Costs, blueprint chances, fragment quantities and other datapack rules still apply.
  • Separate Research Data rewards: Choose which Analyzer tier's Data reward tables to use in Single Analyzer mode. The default is Tier 1 rewards. Notes, Reports and Dossiers keep their configured target pools.
  • Single or tiered Research Benches: Use one bench for the entire tree, or keep the three-tier progression. Crafting Workbench tiers remain independent.
  • Portable Research: Open the Tech Tree with the Journal / Research key without placing a Research Bench. A J button inside the tree opens the Journal. If research is disabled, the key continues to open the Journal.
  • Preserved progression: Single Bench and Portable Research satisfy bench-tier requirements. Research costs, prerequisite blueprints, advancements and custom milestones still apply. Existing higher-tier stations remain usable.
  • Recipes follow your choice: Changing station modes closes open research stations and reloads recipes. Single modes show basic station recipes; Portable Research removes Research Bench recipes. Returning to tiered modes restores their recipes.
  • Research Designer support: Captured settings and offline Analyzer comparisons include the station choices. Older projects preserve their previous station behavior.

Fixes

  • Fixed a packaged-server startup crash caused by the TaCZ crafting-table menu hook using a development-only Minecraft method name.
  • Corrected the related crafting-menu validity and client crafting-screen initialization mappings.
  • Portable research validates the active mode and menu session on the server. Disabling portable access invalidates an existing portable session.

Updating

Back up your world and settings, stop the game and server, and replace the old mod JAR with 1.3.2 on every client and the server. Keep only one copy of this mod in each mods folder. The network protocol changed, so 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 cannot be mixed.

Existing configurations migrate to Use existing progression preset, retaining previous research-tier behavior until an operator selects a new mode. Fresh installations default to tiered stations. Learned blueprints, fragment archives, Scrap, and saved Research Points (RP) are unchanged by the station choices.

Datapacks still control costs, reward tables, target pools and prerequisites. See the station settings guide for mode precedence and customization.

Upgrading from 1.2.0? This release also includes the full 1.3 progression update: physical Scrap, Research Data analysis, Blueprint Fragments, three station tiers, the redesigned Tech Tree, and the in-game Research Designer. The combined 1.3.0 and 1.3.1 notes cover those features and their migration guidance. Version 1.3.0 was not published.
