Hello everyone! To enhance the playability and realism of the game, we have deeply optimized NPC AI logic, defense mechanisms, and interaction experiences in this update. You can now customize your server or single-player experience with much greater precision!

✨ Key Features & Optimizations

1. 🛠️ Brand New Configuration System: Deep Customization
We understand players' needs for personalized difficulty and playstyles. Therefore, this update adds support for core configuration files (located in the config directory).
  • NPC AI Data Adjustment: You can now freely tweak key AI parameters for various NPCs (from refugees to super soldiers), such as movement speed, pursuit distance, and attack radius.
  • Armor Protection Coefficient Adjustment: For different tiers of body armor (Tier 1 - Tier 8, with Tier 8 being the Abyss set), you can now directly modify their damage reduction and penetration reduction rates in the config file to balance combat intensity.
2.  Smart AI Behavior Upgrade: Tactical Prone
NPCs are no longer just stationary targets! We have added a brand new tactical action for all NPCs:
  • Low Health Prone Mechanism: When an NPC's health drops below a certain threshold, they will automatically trigger a Prone action.
  • Tactical Significance: This change not only adds visual realism but also gives NPCs better survivability and counter-attack opportunities when at a disadvantage, forcing players to adapt their usual spray-and-pray strategies.
3. 💣 Visual & Interaction Improvements: Grenade Countdown Bar
To eliminate the uncertainty of grenade throws, we have added intuitive visual feedback:
  • New Grenade Fuse HUD: A countdown bar will now appear at the top of the screen (or a designated location) when you throw a grenade.
  • Adjustable Parameters: The position (vertical coordinate) and transparency of this countdown bar can be adjusted in the config file, ensuring it doesn't obstruct your view while keeping you informed of the explosion timing.
4.  Bug Fixes: Fire Effect Optimization
Fixed a long-standing rendering bug:
  • Fixed NPC Fire Glint Issues: Corrected the display error of fire effects (Fire Glint/Particle) produced by NPCs under specific lighting conditions. Fire effects now look much more natural, with no more clipping or flickering issues.
