Symbiotes Unleashed is a standalone Minecraft Forge mod built around bonding with powerful living organisms that grow, fight, react, and evolve alongside their hosts.
Every symbiote is more than a set of buffs. Each has its own personality, behavior, strengths, weaknesses, combat preferences, and willingness to cooperate with its host. Build a strong bond and work together—or lose control when your symbiote decides it knows better.

Your relationship with your symbiote can directly change how it behaves.
Some are loyal protectors.
Some are hunters.
Some are curious.
Some are unstable.
And some may decide that keeping you alive is more important than letting you stay in control.
Bonded symbiotes can form Living Armor around their host.
Living Armor isn't just cosmetic. Depending on your symbiote, it can provide additional protection, combat bonuses, mobility changes, special abilities, or completely alter how the symbiote reacts during dangerous situations.
Each phenotype has its own armor design, including custom textures and emissive details.
Deploy four persistent symbiote tendrils directly from your body.
Unlike simple particle effects, these are synchronized physical tendril entities that follow the player and dynamically react during gameplay.
The four-tendril mantle includes:
Two upper tendrils near the shoulders/head
Two lower tendrils around the torso
Persistent idle movement
Combat extensions
Tendril attacks
Ability animations
Automatic return to resting positions
Phenotype-specific appearances
Your symbiote can use these tendrils as an extension of itself during combat and exploration.
Symbiotes Unleashed includes a growing roster of custom symbiotes such as:
Faesaral — A cold and exceptionally powerful apex hunter built around aggressive combat and overwhelming living armor.
Plasma — An overprotective Royal-born predator that reacts violently when its host is threatened.
Viridian — A restrained, observant symbiote that prefers watching the world until its host is in serious danger.
Maeve — A powerful but cooperative Royal symbiote with an enormous biomass reserve.
Vexren — A silent watcher that becomes increasingly dangerous under fear, exhaustion, heat, or stress.
Tenacity — A dedicated hunter that locks onto prey, adapts during prolonged battles, and grows increasingly dangerous as a fight continues.
Hyperion — A Shadow-born stalker that refuses to take control without permission and quietly studies nearby life when given control.
Juggernaut — A heroic protector that rejects conventional weapons and armor while aggressively defending vulnerable creatures.
Biohazard — A massive Predator symbiote focused on health, regeneration, brute strength, and dangerous low-health behavior.
Noctyra — A young Shadow symbiote fascinated by living creatures, with powerful mobility and different performance between day and night.
Veyl — An exceptionally rare Royal symbiote with powerful abilities, Royal Authority, regeneration, and a dangerous early relationship with its host.
Nyctus — A Predator assassin and protector capable of entering an extremely dangerous Apex state.
Vespera — A defensive Guardian symbiote focused on protecting its host through powerful stamina-based barriers.
Alongside them are additional symbiotes including Kiko, Reaper, Strawberry, Blight, Nexus, and more.
Your symbiote isn't simply equipment.
Depending on its personality, your bond, your health, stress levels, nearby threats, and other conditions, a symbiote may attempt to take control of its host.
Some take control to protect you.
Some do it to hunt.
Some panic.
Some become aggressive.
Others refuse to take control unless you willingly give it permission.
As your relationship develops, the balance between host and symbiote can change dramatically.
Symbiotes can grant specialized movement abilities including:
Symbiote climbing
Extended traversal
Tethered movement
Enhanced mobility
Phenotype-specific movement behavior
Movement abilities integrate directly into the symbiote system instead of functioning as simple potion effects.
Your symbiote can maintain its own 54-slot inventory, giving bonded players additional storage tied directly to their living companion.
Certain symbiotes can also interact with nearby items and the environment through their own specialized behavior.
Open the dedicated Symbiote Status Screen to inspect information about your current bond.
Track important information such as your symbiote's condition, relationship with you, phenotype, behavioral state, and other gameplay statistics.
