Description

This originally was a surprise 'Thank You' gift for SWE/M staff with a special consideration to LegaLace1. Its late given priorities and limited resources, but here it is nonetheless.

Welcome to HueMoos! Colorful little cows that dye your items for you, 'free' of charge. Build and decorate, in whatever minecraft color that suits your mood! (See Images page)

!!! Warning, this might be a bit troublesome to mod/packs that depend on the scarcity of certain flowers/dyes but there's a config for that! :D !!!

How They Work

Locate a MooShroom island and give a MooShroom a dye. Poof! HueMoo! Now take any dye-able item (including modded items) and right click the HueMoo. Your items will be re-dyed 16 at a time! If you'd prefer to craft what you need, you can 'milk' the cow for their Paint using bottles or buckets. Be careful though, they only have so much paint (64 points). They get paler as they are drained. Give them some time to eat grass or feed them Wildflowers for them to regenerate. They don't mind being at low Paint though. If you think they're cute as a pale blue, yellow, or orange little cow - leave them that way and they'll stay a pastel herd (via config)!

Items

  • Paint Bottles (16 Colors) - Dye a singular item at a time. Milks 1 Paint from HueMoo.
  • Paint Buckets (16 Colors) - Dye a singular item at a time. Milks 9 Paint from HueMoo.
  • Quarris' paint system *should* automatically work to redye any dyeable item, vanilla or modded (including SWDM minecraft color items for all Swemians wondering. Not including LMD).
  • Bottle o' Choco Milk - Grants Jump Boost I potion effect for 15 seconds.
  • Bucket o' Choco Milk - Grants Jump Boost I potion effect for 60 seconds.
  • Hot Chocolate - Craft via Choco Milk bottle/bucket in furnace or brewing stand. Grants Jump Boost II and Absorption potion effects for 60 seconds.
  • HueMoo Wildflowers - Craft via 5 wheat and 4 flowers of any color. Regenerates 8 Paint for HueMoo.

Other Additives

Recipe - 8 glass pane (like chest) produces 8 glass bottles.

Breeding

Breeding HueMoos is easy (and hopefully logical). Red HueMoo + White HueMoo = Pink HueMoo. Blue + White = Light Blue. Etc. Feed HueMoos Wheat and they'll find another to breed with. Yay baby!

Future Additions

These additions were planned but were unable to be completed. Maybe in future (probably not anytime soon but I want to).

  • Matching real world flowers that bloomed on the HueMoos heads/back at the same rate as their paint. Example: 100% paint = 100% blooming flowers. Matching flowers would also be implemented in SWDM.
  • SWEM Modeled cows, not vanilla based cows.
  • Baby HueMoos (model, textures, animations).
  • SWDM compatibility including Natural Tones (like tuscan and pale) and LMD Tones (light, medium, dark).
  • Ability to appropriately dye stained glass with bottle/buckets and be able to dye shulkers and banners without losing NBT data.
  • Chocolate Milk and/or Hot Chocolate Cauldron.
