Stuff and Things - 1.21.1 - 1.1.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Version 1.1.0 (NeoForge 1.21.1)
521 new blocks.
Added
- The wood family: every log, stem, wood and hyphae, stripped or not, plus bamboo blocks and mangrove roots, as layers, slabs and stairs (129 blocks).
- Stairs for everything we make layers for — 222 in total, including grass, farmland and dirt path.
- Light Block layers and slabs in all 16 colors, solid and glass, always-on and redstone-toggled (128 blocks).
- Redstone-toggled Light Blocks in all 16 colors, solid and glass (32 blocks).
- More layers: copper at every stage, deepslate, the ores, basalt, froglights and bone block.
- Concrete, Concrete Powder, Terracotta and Wool slabs in all 16 colors, and a Tinted Glass slab.
- A Block of Charcoal, with its own layer, slab and stair. Crafts to and from nine charcoal.
- A creative tab for Stairs.
Changed
- Thatch is renewable: wrap sugar cane around a block of thatch to get two back. Dead bushes now cost 4 instead of 9.
- Thatch only weathers under open sky, and turns faster the more thatch it touches. Sheltered thatch stays fresh.
- JEI explains thatch: where it comes from, how it weathers, and how waxing stops it.
- Variants now behave like the block they copy: tinted glass blocks light, slime bounces, honey slows a fall and lets you slide, ice is slippery.
- A shovel turns dirt-type layers, slabs and stairs into paths; a hoe tills them into farmland.
- An axe strips wood variants, and they burn like the real thing.
- The Chisel takes one layer off a stack or one half off a double slab; any other tool takes the whole thing. It works on stairs now too.
- Every layer, slab and stair is on the Stonecutter, and slabs and stairs craft the vanilla way.
- Column blocks keep their texture running up and down in every form.
- Layer placement is deterministic and behaves like snow.
- The creative menu is reorganized into tabs that keep themselves up to date.
- Tags show a proper name instead of a raw id, and every block item is tagged.
- Charcoal and coal blocks, their layers and slabs, and plank layers all burn as furnace fuel.
- The Create mulch chain now always yields a Block of Charcoal, instead of coal 95% of the time and mulch back the rest.
- Honey and slime are drawn as a shell with a core suspended inside, the way vanilla draws them.
- Kept deliberately unlike their originals, so they suit building: sponge does not absorb water, coral does not die out of water, copper does not oxidize, and nothing drops experience.
- Ice layers render translucent.
- Updated to the latest NeoForge for 1.21.1, with Create 6.x recipe compatibility.
Fixed
- 159 layers and slabs dropped nothing when mined — they needed the correct tool but were in no mineable tag.
- Farmland and dirt path layers and slabs dropped nothing without Silk Touch or a wrench.
- Blue Ice Stairs had no name, no loot table and no recipe, were missing from the creative menu, and rendered solid.
- Plants would not grow on moss, mud or muddy mangrove roots layers and slabs.
- Blocks now drop what vanilla drops: grass and podzol give dirt, stone gives cobblestone, live coral gives dead coral, and glass and ice need Silk Touch.
- Nine blocks rendered as missing textures, and the grass double slab rendered gray instead of tinted.
- Light Blocks had no stonecutter recipes.
- Missing loot tables for shallow layers, and double slab particle textures.
