Spoliage adds a realistic food spoilage system, temperature influence and cannibalism mechanics.

Food Spoilage


Every edible item has a shelf life (in ticks). Once expired, it turns into Rotten Food, which gives hunger and poison when eaten.

Spoilage time can be customized per item via config (customTimes list).

Works with any mod that adds edible items (Farmer’s Delight, etc.), automatically detected via isEdible().

 

Temperature Effects

Cold biomes (snow, ice, taiga, frozen), spoilage is 2x slower (decrement 10 instead of 20 ticks/sec).

Ice/Packed Ice/Blue Ice under the player, same slowdown.

 

The mod is a work in progress. Some bugs or balance issues may still exist. Please report them on Discord!
