🔮 Spirits of Power - Introduces a New Curio Slot

Spirits of Power introduces a brand new Curios slot to your Minecraft adventures, the Spirit slot!

- This mod adds a collection of unique spirit items that modify the player’s attributes based on the spirit's type. Some spirits also grant passive or active abilities. Can also be empowered for strengthening.
- A mechanic where unequipping a spirit applies debuffs and triggers a short cooldown before it can be re-equipped.

🔍Spirits can be obtained from the Mystic Spirit Relic, a very rare item found in structure loot chests throughout the world!  (Can be disabled in Config)

🧿 Mystic Spirit Relic

The Mystic Spirit Relic is a very rare item that can be found in loot chests. When right-clicked, it reveals its Spirit Potential (1–100%) and assigns a unique task. Completing the task allows you to claim a mysterious spirit as a reward. The task can only be performed when the relic is held in the offhand.

To awaken the Mystic Spirit Relic, you must complete one of the following tasks randomly assigned by the relic :
- Slay 25 - 50 Hostile Mobs : Defeat the required amount of hostile mobs to fulfill the task.

- Feed 125 - 250 experience points : Whenever you pick up an experience orb, it will be consumed by the relic instead of being added to your experience bar.

Note : Tasks only progress while the relic is held in your offhand.

✨ Spirit Potential

Every Spirit item now possesses a Potential value, ranging from 1% to 100%. This value directly influences your luck when rolling for Modifier Quality that affect the strength of each modifier in your Spirit Modifiers.

Potential is typically defined by right-clicking a Mystic Spirit Relic. The relic rolls a random value between 1-100%. Once you complete the required task, you will receive a random Spirit with that specific Potential value assigned to it.

Rerolling potential to a new value is possible by using a Shard of Hubris. More details of this item can be found in the Items section further down this page.

 

⚒️ Spirit Modifiers & Modifier Quality

Every Spirit item comes with a unique set of positive and negative attributes. Modifiers displayed with a percentage in the tooltip are Dynamic Modifiers. These have a Modifier Quality value ranging from 0% to 100%, which determines the actual strength of that attribute.

Each modifier has a specific value range. The Quality determines where your roll lands within that range.
Example :

Warrior’s Spirit on v1.0.0 has increased Max Health modifier range of 5% to 10%
          > 0% Quality = 5% increased Max Health
          > 100% Quality = 10% increased Max Health

When you first obtain a Spirit item, you must right-click to awaken it. The Quality of each dynamic attribute is randomly rolled, but your odds are significantly influenced by the Spirit Potential, because higher Potential means a better chance at hitting 100% Quality.

Rerolling quality to a new value is possible by using a Entropy Shard. More details of this item can be found in the Items section further down this page.

 

⭐ Spirit Empowerment

Every spirits can be empowered using the Empowered Orb. Empowerment usually increases modifier stats, strengthens existing abilities or both, depending on that Spirit.

Empowered Orb can be crafted by the following recipe :

"The Spirits shown in the Gallery are in their Empowered form. the unempowered forms are much weaker."

You can view detailed statistics for any Spirit by pressing [Alt] while hovering over the item in your inventory. This tab includes Spirit Type & Potential, Current Form and Empowered Benefits that briefly explain what will you get from empowering the spirit.

Ethereal Dust : A core crafting material. Obtain it by salvaging Spirits or Resonant Fragments with an Anvil.

Omen Essence : A rare crafting material used in high-tier recipes.

Entropy Shard : Used to reroll the Quality of your Spirit Modifiers.

Shard of Hubris : Has a 50% chance to either increase or decrease Spirit Potential by 5–25%. (Only works on Spirits below 80% Potential).

Chaos Stone : Unpredictably transforms a certain item or destroys it.

Dormant Orb : Obtained from using Chaos Stone on a Mystic Spirit Relic. Unseal it with Echo Shard or Ethereal Dust to reveal its content.

Resonant Fragment : Obtained from Dormant Orbs. Right-click to identify a Tier 1–3 Modifier, which can then be injected into a Spirit if it meets the Potential requirement (e.g., a Tier 3 modifier requires a Spirit with 75%+ Potential). Current modifiers in pool are Attack Damage, Attack Speed, Movement Speed, Armor, Crit Chance and Crit Damage

🔧 Optional Compatibilities

- Spiritborne Ascendants : Material from that mod can be used in this mod to create some items.

- Combat Roll : Some spirits use attributes from this mod. If it's not installed, those attributes won't apply or appear in tooltips.

- Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks : Wizard's Sprit required this mod. Some spirits use attributes from this mod. If it's not installed, those attributes won't apply or appear in tooltips.

- SCORCHED GUNS 2Compat for Cowboy's Spirit which will also increases Gun Damage and Reload Speed.

- Mine and Slash : All spirit modifiers and most abilities have been reworked to fit with the mod. See spoiler for more details.

If Mine and Slash and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks are both installed, the mod will always use the Mine and Slash version of the spirit, ignoring the Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks compat.
