What's new

Sol's MMNM Addon v0.2 Is Now Live!

New Features, Fixes & Improvements

Fixes

1. Profile System Fixes

  • Fixed profile command suggestions so typing profile or zone names no longer shows unrelated property names too early.
  • Profile autocomplete now suggests saved profile names and profile numbers where a profile is expected.
  • Profile apply/copy autocomplete now suggests protected-site labels and numbers where a zone is expected.

2. Base MMNM entity_damage Property Aggro Fix

  • Fixed protected sites with entity_damage=false.
  • Hostile and neutral mobs should no longer keep targeting or fighting inside those sites.
  • Entity-sourced damage is cancelled when either the attacker or victim is inside a protected site with entity damage disabled.

New Features

Entity Blacklist & Whitelist

Added per-site entity spawn filtering:

  • /abprotect props entity_blacklist add/remove <site> <entity/all>
  • /abprotect props entity_blacklist list <site>
  • /abprotect props entity_blacklist clear <site>
  • /abprotect props entity_whitelist add/remove <site> <entity/all>
  • /abprotect props entity_whitelist list <site>
  • /abprotect props entity_whitelist clear <site>

The whitelist takes priority over the blacklist. This is especially useful with entity_blacklist all, where only whitelisted entities can spawn.

Experimental: WorldEdit-Style Cuboid Site Creation

Added a two-corner protected-site creation flow for rectangular areas that are not restricted to a single square or cube radius.

New commands:

  • /abprotect new pos1 <name>
  • /abprotect new pos2

How it works:

  1. Stand at the first corner of the area, then run /abprotect new pos1 <name>.
  2. Move to the opposite corner, then run /abprotect new pos2.
  3. The addon creates a cuboid protected site using those two corners.

Cuboid sites are axis-aligned, like WorldEdit cuboid selections. They can be long, tall, narrow, flat, or uneven across the X, Y, and Z axes.

Player Building Protection

Added a new per-site building rule:

  • /abprotect props player_build <site> <true/false>

player_build=true allows players to break and place blocks. player_build=false prevents players from breaking or placing blocks inside the protected area.

Players can still interact with usable blocks such as chests, crafting tables, anvils, and more.

Protected-Site Entering & Leaving Messages

Added public protected-site splash messages for all players.

Operators can set a site's message with:

  • /abprotect entering_message set <site> <title> <subtitle>

Example:

/abprotect entering_message set area67 "Sphinx Island" "Birthplace of Whitebeard, under Marco's watch."

Experimental: Managed Protected-Site Mob Spawn Rules

Added optional addon-controlled spawns for each protected site.

Create a default managed spawn rule with:

  • /abprotect props entity_spawnrules defaults <site> <entity>

Default managed spawn settings:

  • Enabled: Yes
    • Controls whether the managed spawn rule is active.
  • Interval: 600 ticks
    • Controls how often the addon checks whether it should spawn the entity. There are 20 ticks in one second.
  • Chance: 35%
    • Controls the chance that a spawn attempt succeeds during each interval. Every interval attempts a spawn if the cap allows it.
  • Pack size: 1–3
    • Controls how many entities spawn in one successful attempt.
    • The pack size is limited by the cap. If the cap is 1, a pack size of 1–3 still cannot exceed one active managed entity.
  • Cap: 8
    • Controls the maximum number of active managed entities for that site/entity combination.
    • If ten players are in the site and the cap is 5, only five managed entities can exist in total.
    • Managed entities continue to count toward the cap while loaded, even if they leave the site.
  • Placement: Natural
    • Controls the type of position the addon searches for:
    • Natural: General natural-style placement. A good default for normal land mobs; uses surface-like valid positions.
    • Surface: Spawns on solid ground. Good for bandits, marines, zombies, animals, and land bosses.
    • Water: Searches for water positions near active players. Best for Sea Kings, fish mobs, and ocean mobs. Requires valid water inside the protected site.
    • Air: Searches for empty air blocks near active players. Useful for flying mobs or special entities. Requires valid empty air inside the protected site.
  • Persistent: True
    • Controls whether the addon marks the spawned mob as persistent.
    • When persistent=true, Minecraft should not naturally despawn the mob like a normal entity. This is recommended for bosses, guards, named mobs, Sea Kings, and rare spawns.
    • When persistent=false, the mob behaves more like a normal mob. Minecraft or the entity's own mod logic may be more likely to remove it. This is useful for regular mobs where natural despawning is acceptable.
  • despawn_after: 0
    • Controls addon-managed despawn timing.
    • 0 means there is no addon-timed despawn.
    • When greater than 0, the addon can remove the mob after that many ticks.
    • The addon should not despawn the mob if a player is nearby or the mob is targeting or attacking someone.
    • This setting is separate from vanilla or modded natural despawn logic. Use persistent=true if you want the addon to strongly protect the entity from normal despawning.
    •

Protected-Site Music on Entry

Added per-site music playlists for Ability Protection zones.

New commands:

  • /abilityprotection props music add <site> <sound_id>

  • /abilityprotection props music remove <site> <sound_id>

  • /abilityprotection props music clear <site>

  • /abilityprotection props music list <site>

  • /abilityprotection props music shuffle <site>

  • Sound IDs suggest registered vanilla and modded sounds, similar to /playsound.

  • Sites with no configured music remain silent by default.

  • Music starts for each player when they enter a configured site and stops immediately when they leave or enter a silent site.

  • One-track playlists loop with five seconds of silence between plays.

  • Multi-track playlists play in the order the tracks were added, wait five seconds between tracks, and then repeat from the beginning.
