"What if you could travel to parallel worlds? The same year, the same Earth, only different dimensions."

Slidersmod brings back the dimensional-exploration concept from the 90s TV series Sliders.
This mod adds the iconic timers from the show into Minecraft, along with a set of blocks and gameplay mechanics designed to stay fully Minecraft-friendly!
You’ll be able to explore completely random destinations — each with their own perks and dangers — for a duration you decide. Whether you take the risk is entirely up to you!

REQUIRED MOD :

- Mekanism

RECOMMENDED MODS

-  Immersive portals (= lot of incompatibilities with Immersive portal, especially Securitycraft !) -> Without this mod, vortex cannot render any depth effect !

- In control ! (= without this mod, you cannot have custom mob spawning into parallel worlds)

- Per Dimension Game Rules (= without this mod, you cannot have custom rules into parallels dimensions)

- Patchouli

These 4 mods are actually REQUIRED BUT next update will make them optionnal

Mod Content

• Immersive Portals integration

The mod leverages Immersive Portals to reproduce a vortex effect as cool as the one from the series!

• Crafting progression inspired by Mekanism

Most recipes are built around Mekanism resources, ensuring the Sliders technology isn’t accessible too early in your playthrough.

• Multiple custom dimensions

Featuring a tier-based dimension system with spawn probabilities:

- dimensions populated only by cats,

- dystopian worlds where the Nether has conquered the Overworld,

- worlds where time flows differently,

- post-apocalyptic landscapes,

...and more!

Some dimensions apply bonuses or dangerous penalties to the player — explore carefully! Every dimensions are detailes into the book's mod ingame, if you don't want to spoil yourself !

• Functional and damaged timers

A working timer allows you to explore a random destination among many custom dimensions for a predetermined duration.
But if you try to force an early return, you’ll damage your timer, sending you into uncontrollable jumps with random durations and random worlds!

• Overheat system

Use your timer too frequently and it will overheat, forcing you to wait before rolling the dimensional dice again.

• Upgrade system

A freshly crafted timer is unstable and unpredictable — upgrades can make it far more efficient:

- reduced cooldown,

- reduced overheat probability,

- increased exploration time,

- access to exotic high-tier dimensions,

... and more!

If you want to spoil yourself about dimensions:

Alternate1 : Perpetual storm, night frozen at midnight, piglins roam. High-yield ores, but mobs hit twice as hard—come prepared.
Alternate Overworld : A familiar overworld variant: standard weather and mobs, no special bonuses.
Amplified World : Towering terrain, steep cliffs, standard overworld rules. Great views, risky footing.
Badlands : A desolate void: no mobs, no purpose. If you land here, you’re just wasting time.
Desert World : Hot dunes, sparse cover, otherwise vanilla rules. Watch visibility.
Eclipse : Locked in darkness with a faint glow. Rich ores and XP, but mobs hit twice as hard—high risk, high reward.
Eldoggo : Wolf sanctuary; only wolves spawn and buff allies when hurt. Normal loot/XP.
Felina : Cat realm with villagers/felines only. Quiet, peaceful, standard loot/XP.
Flat World : Superflat plains. No tricks—great for building/testing.
Frozen World : Perpetual cold and snow. Normal loot/XP, slippery terrain.
Îles Inverses : Villagers, cats, golems only; hostiles removed. Calm trading haven.
Jungle World : Dense jungle variant, standard rules. Expect thick foliage and classic threats.
Mousson : Endless rain/thunder. Mooshrooms only; no ore/XP bonus. Gloomy and wet.
Mushroom World : Mycelium fields and giant mushrooms. Peaceful vibe, standard loot/XP.
Nécropole : Undead only; ores drop more, mobs hit twice as hard, XP normal.
Ocean World : Vast oceans, sparse land. Normal loot/XP; bring respiration/boats.
Peaceful Overworld : No hostiles, calm weather. Normal ores/XP—good for farming/building.
Pillager Grounds : Only pillagers; others removed. High XP (x4), standard loot.
Plains World : Gentle rolling plains, standard rules. Safe fallback dimension.
Sablier : Time flows faster; bursts give Speed/Haste. Ores x3, XP x5—be quick.
Skylands : Hostile flying mobs and jump boost with no fall damage. XP x4; altitude is your enemy.
Sommets Aurore : High peaks; climbing too high at night can slow you. Otherwise standard rules.
Twilight World : Perpetual twilight; occasional nether corruption. Mobs hit twice as hard, no ore/XP bonus.
Vendavel : Wind-swept plains with iron/snow golems only. No ore/XP bonus; strong gusts push you around.
dlrowrevo : Inverted world: passive animals are hostile, hostile mobs ignore you. No XP/ore bonuses.

• Four types of timers

Each with its own vortex style and special abilities:

- Original Timer — the standard model.

- Egyptian Timer — can track previously opened vortexes.

- Exodus Timer — can store explored locations and return to them later.

- Logan Timer — targets the Overworld exclusively (upgraded versions allow increasingly precise landing points).

• Multiplayer-friendly utility blocks

To make the experience richer in multiplayer:

- Quantum Recall Station — open a return vortex on a previously marked player.

- Proto-synchronizer — share exploration destinations with other players.

• Raid system

Vortexes may spontaneously open and let through various “explorers”: villagers, wardens, or even your doppelgänger
Sometimes it’s an opportunity to get a timer the “easy” way !
