World generation

World generation with Dense Skyblock option. (with Complementary Unbound 5.1.1)

To access the skyblock worldgen you need to select one of world presets. (Use the menu which allows to use for example Superflat or Large Biomes world type. Click until you can see one of the following)

  • Dense Skyblock
    • High density of structures.
    • Better performance. The worldgen is flat. 
    • 4 custom biomes allow some variety of structures and mobs
  • Vanilla Biomes
    • Lower density of structures.
    • Uses biomes and structures spread identical to a vanilla world with the same seed.
    • Performance worse than Dense Skyblock as vanilla biomes need vanilla terrain. This means that entire mountains are created (but built of modded "air")
    • Better mod compatibility. Uses all vanilla biomes and has varied terrain heights.
    • Vanilla Biomes have most of the assets of a vanilla world. For example features, mob spawning weights and other biome specific quirks.

All modded world presets have The Nether and The End world generation changed to be skyblock with vanilla biomes and structures.

The mod worldgen is compatible with other mod's structures, mobs, dimensions(will not be skyblock but will work)

The mod also allows players to access vanilla unobtainable(inaccesible in skyblock) materials from a villager which workstation is a crafting table

 

The mod also features 2 new gamerules:

-SkykolcSpawnFlight true/false -Allows to disable modded ability to fly after respawning

-SkykolcSpawnFlightDuration (number of game ticks) -Lets you set the duration of flight effect after respawn

 

Changing the structures' distances:

Use the great mod Structure Essentials. Open the config and change "spacingSeparationModifier" value.

 

Version info:

[10 and later] Nether and other portals work as in vanilla. Incompatible with older versions of the mod

[1.6 to 9] Nether is accessible via Portalist Villager selling portal igniter. A frame identical to vanilla nether portal but built with Crying Obsidian is required to access the Nether

[PRE1.6]Nether is accessible via Portalist Villager selling portal block.

 

Known bugs:

-fluids may behave weirdly when far from a player

-the 1.20.1 version of the mod requires Forge Mod Loader 47.3.19 or newer

-[1.19.2 only and up to skystructures-10] it is required to use defauld world type on world creation to make the mod work

-[1.20.1+] structures that intersect with villages or surface ravines may be broken or generated at y=-64

-[1.20.1+] There is a layer of solid blocks at y=1 in Dense Skyblock and on varied heights in Vanilla Biomes. It is required for some structures' generation and will disappear naturally by random tick and around player
