A Server Mod to Steal Others Size

Description

SizeSteal SMP — Server Overview

SizeSteal SMP is a ruthless, high-stakes anarchy Minecraft survival server built around a single twist: players can steal other players’ size, and if your size drops below a fatal threshold you suffer permanent in‑server death. The world is raw and lawless: no protected claims, no safe zones, and no rollback promises. Expect emergent politics, alliances built on fear, and griefing as a core gameplay element.

The server is available to play on for most days from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm PDT for any of those who install this self-installing modpack (automatically installs performance/required/quality mods if installed with the curseforge app. If not installed with the curseforge app, you will need to install these four mods atleast for it to work: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/creativecore

Core Mechanics

  • Size Attribute — Every player has a visible Size stat that affects reach, hitbox, and movement. Size is represented visually (e.g., player model scales).

  • Size Theft — Players can steal size from others using specific actions: direct PvP or traps to kill. Successful theft transfers a portion of the victim’s Size to the attacker.

  • Fatal Threshold — If a player’s Size falls below a defined minimum, they enter Permadeath: their account’s character is permanently put into spectator mode. Permadeath is irreversible on that world save.

  • Recovery & Limits — Size can be regained by stealing from others.

  • Size Item — A tangible, transferable representation of your Size exists as an in‑game item called Size: use the /withdraw command to convert a portion of your current Size into one or more Size items that appear in your inventory. Right‑clicking a Size item instantly consumes it and increases the consumer’s Size (the effect is immediate and visually reflected on the player model). Size items can be dropped, traded, or stolen like any other item, but remember that withdrawing reduces your own Size immediately and can leave you dangerously close to the fatal threshold—use /withdraw and transfers with caution.

Gameplay Loop and Player Goals

  • Survive and Grow — Gather resources, craft tools, and hunt to increase your Size or protect what you have.

  • Hunt or Hide — Decide whether to become a predator who targets others for size, or a stealthy hoarder who avoids conflict.

  • Form Alliances — Temporary alliances can protect you from immediate threats but make you a target for larger coalitions.

PvP, Anarchy Dynamics, and Balance

  • Open PvP — Combat is unrestricted; griefing and theft are expected parts of play.

  • Risk vs Reward — Larger players have advantages but become high-value targets; very small players are vulnerable to permadeath.

Permadeath Policy and Player Experience

  • Permanent Consequence — When Size drops below the fatal threshold, (which is about 2 pixels tall), the character is permanently put in spectator mode.

  • Spectator Options — Permadead players may be allowed to spectate.

Community, Moderation, and Rules

  • Minimal Rules — Core rule set is intentionally small: no real‑world threats, no doxxing, no targeted harassment outside the game. In‑game griefing and theft are allowed.

  • Moderation Scope — Staff intervene only for out‑of‑game abuse, severe exploits, or server stability issues. Gameplay outcomes remain player-driven.

Server Features & Quality of Life

  • Persistent World — Long‑running map.

  • Custom Plugins — Size system and permadeath handling.

  • Performance Focus — Optimized for large-scale PvP and many concurrent players.

  • Economy Options — Optional barter or item-based economy centered on size-related resources.

Risk, Rewards, and Player Psychology

  • High Stakes — The threat of permadeath creates intense tension and meaningful choices.

  • Emergent Stories — Expect dramatic betrayals, legendary hunters, and memorialized permadeaths.

  • Accessibility Tradeoffs — The server is unforgiving; new players face steep learning curves but can carve out fame quickly.
