v4.19.0: economy rebalance and 20-hero roster with mages
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
The Siege Overhaul v4.19.0
Two big changes: the core economy got retuned so hero tiers earn their price, and the hero roster jumped from four to twenty across five rarity tiers with six new spell-casting mages.
Economy retune
The core buffs, territory buffs, and siege engineer crews were priced too cheap for how strong they are. All three lines got a bump so they read against wave-reward income:
- Windstep, Warborn, Aegis are now 24, 36, 48 emeralds (was 16, 24, 32).
- Territory buffs move to the 600 to 1200 range. Provisioning (+50% bank interest) is the priciest slot because it compounds through the whole campaign.
- Siege engineer catapult and ballista crews are 560 and 480 (was 384 and 320). A single wave reward should barely cover one crew.
20 heroes, real rarity spread
Old rosters had four heroes at flat prices. Now there are twenty heroes across Common through Legendary, and hero cost scales by tier instead of a flat multiplier. Commons run about 8x the base recruit price, Legendaries hit 40x. The picker keeps commons frequent and legendaries rare (roughly 1 to 2 percent per slot).
Old hero IDs 10-13 remap. Ironoath and Stonehand take the Common slots at 10 and 11. Bloodthorn and Dawnwarden shift up to their proper Uncommon slots at 14 and 15. Stormbow (12) and Frostbinder (13) keep their IDs at Uncommon.
New mages
The Legendary tier is all mages, and the Epic tier gets three more. Mages carry blaze rod staves and cast on cooldown with heavy particle work:
- Voidweaver casts a purple void nova every 15 seconds, 5 damage in a 6 block ring.
- Starweaver fires a homing star to a second enemy on every melee hit.
- Ashenheart triggers a non-terrain fireball on melee.
- Solmyra the Radiant burns every enemy in 8 blocks with a sunlight column every 20 seconds.
- Umbros the Nightcaller summons two shadow wolves for 30 seconds.
- Chronos Timebender slows every enemy in 10 blocks 90 percent for 4 seconds.
Other new abilities
Emberstep ignites on melee. Hollowveil marks the target for +30 percent damage on the next hit. Warbell knocks nearby enemies back on a successful shield block. Verdant roots the target with arrows. Grimwatch leaves a lingering piercing trail. Wildsong grants speed on kill. Ironclad radiates a Resistance II aura. Skyrender splits arrows into three tracers on hit. Stonehand and Dawnwarden keep their defensive kits at the new IDs.
Client polish
Legendary rarity gets its own gold tier color. Hero cards read from the shared rarity helper so the labels catch up automatically.
Compatibility
Save-compatible with 4.x. Old hero saves keep their entity role but their IDs now line up with the new roster so the visible rarity may shift one tier up or down depending on which slot rolled last.
