Faction Raids v2.35.0 — Claim Territory Waypoints See the line you're holding.
During a raid, defenders now see their Recruits claim boundary rendered in-world. "Defend your territory" finally has a visual answer to "where does my territory end."
Boundaries come from Recruits itself — Faction Raids reads the claim's chunk set and paints particles on top. Resize your claim in Recruits and the new shape shows up within about 20 seconds. No Recruits, no waypoints — the feature quietly does nothing.
How it renders Up close (within 48 blocks): a faction-red particle fence traces the exposed edges of your claim at ground level. It rides the terrain, so hills and valleys stay legible. Reads as a shimmering palisade you're defending.
From a distance: vertical particle columns rise at the four corners of your claim's bounding box — same visual grammar as the raid objective beacon. Reads from across a valley: "my territory is over there."
Each defender automatically gets the near view or the far view based on where they are. No double-drawing.
Restraint (same as the rest of the mod) Defenders only. Raiders don't see the boundary.
Active raids only. Fades when the raid ends.
No Recruits, no waypoints. The service quietly does nothing when Recruits isn't installed or the anchor has no matching claim.
New config claimWaypointsEnabled (default true) — flip off to disable the whole feature.
claimWaypointsNearRadius (default 48, range 16–256) — how close a defender needs to be for the edge fence (vs. the corner columns).
claimWaypointsSamplePitch (default 4 blocks, range 1–16) — spacing between edge particles. Lower is denser but ships more packets.
Under the hood Edge geometry cached per team with a 20-second TTL. Reflection into Recruits happens once per TTL, not per raid tick.
Edge samples anchor to the world-surface heightmap so the fence stays on the ground even where the claim crosses terrain.
Cache invalidates on raid end so the next raid picks up any claim changes fresh.
Save-compatible with 2.34.0. Requires Minecraft 1.20.1, Forge 47.2+. GPL-3.0-only. Faction Raids is a trademarked name.
