Seroka - Update: The Weight of Consequence
You thought you mastered the oceans with your instant stops and magical shipyards? Playtime is over. The ocean of Seroka awakens, and physics no longer forgives. Here are the new laws that will govern your survival on the waves.
⚓ The Heavy Anchor and Oceanic Drift The ocean is no longer static. A ship with furled sails never completely stops: it inexorably drifts at the mercy of ocean currents. Your only life insurance is the Heavy Anchor (forged from an inverted anvil and a chain). But beware of kinetic energy: drop the anchor while your ship is tearing forward at full speed, and the chain's tension will literally rip the blocks from your hull, condemning you to sink from the resulting breach.
💨 Realistic Inertia and Heavy Maneuvers Arcade mechanics are dead. High-speed reversing is permanently abolished. Attempting to reverse or brake is now a slow, grueling process that demands anticipation. At the helm, you can assist the maneuver by rowing for a slight burst of acceleration, but your overall mass will always dictate your braking distance. Anticipate your stops, or prepare for impact.
🌊 The Dictatorship of Archimedes and Gravity Architectural cheating is now penalized. Assembling a ship suspended in the sky will no longer generate magical water upon deployment; gravity will apply immediately, and your ship will crash to the ground. Beneath the surface, hydrostatic pressure becomes lethal: the deeper a volume of air (or a ship) is pushed down, the faster and more violent its buoyant ascent to the surface will be.
🧊 Icebreaker Engineering and Material Density The hierarchy of materials is strictly enforced. Armoring the bow of your ship with iron blocks now grants you the ability to shatter ice in your path through sheer kinetic impact. Additionally, dirt is now permitted for your deck decorations or onboard crops. But never forget the Equation: waterlogged dirt is extremely heavy, and aesthetics will drastically amputate your overall buoyancy.
🛠️ Crew Integrity (Zero Excuses) The code has been purged of its imperfections so that your failures are yours alone. Navigating slabs, stairs, and climbing ladders is now millimeter-precise. If you fall overboard during a storm, it's no longer a bug: it's your own incompetence. Finally, sails furled on their yards no longer have a physical presence and will not tear by mistake, leaving the wooden structure of your masts as the only vulnerable target.
Who will master this new physics and survive the inertia of the oceans? It's up to you to sail... or rather, to sink.
🐺 Return of the Pack (Wolf Integration) Wolves have reclaimed their rightful place in the natural evolutionary cycle! Whether wild or tamed, they now fully participate in our leveling system. Think twice before provoking a lone wolf in the forest: nature adapts, remembers, and what was once a simple animal might return much stronger to defend its territory.
🌍 Fauna Without Borders (Cross-Mod Support) Your ecosystem now expands far beyond our own creatures! The logic of progression, learning, and persistence now organically applies to entities from your other installed mods. If you strike a creature from another mod, there is now a very high chance it will enter the evolutionary cycle, level up, and fight back intelligently. (Explorer's Technical Note: Because nature is unpredictable, some exotic species with highly specific code might resist this natural evolution, but the vast majority will join this new circle of life!)
