Seismica 1.4.0 — What's New

New Blocks (Advanced Series):

  • Advanced Earthquake Radar — 2500m range, detects 2s faster, with a GlobalQuake-style estimated intensity distribution map
  • Advanced EEW Broadcaster — 2500m range, warns 2s earlier
  • Advanced Fault Map — 3000m range
  • Station Viewer and Advanced Station Viewer — live-lists the shaking felt at each station with estimated Mercalli intensity

Realism Improvements:

  • Seismograph now estimates — a single station can't know the true magnitude; it shows a rough estimate until the wave arrives, then a tighter estimate (always "estimated")
  • Natural earthquakes tied to faults, and the minimum magnitude is now M1
  • Fixed EEW range bug — now reliably detects every quake within range

Destruction System:

  • Stone, concrete, and brick houses now collapse (natural mountains/caves stay intact)
  • Reinforced concrete collapses at M7.5+
  • Fault ruptures now tear straight through buildings in their path

Other:

  • Welcome message on world join (localized)
  • Hold Shift for a description on every block (advanced tiers compare to the standard version)
